eCommerce Site Merchandising Manager
Denver, CO - As an innovative eCommerce Site Merchandising Manager, you will develop, execute, and evaluate all merchandising efforts for our AU onsite experience (navigation, homepage, category pages, PDPs, landing pages, etc.). You will be responsible for the day to day presentation of products, messaging and pricing on our site to ensure our customers have a clear, successful path to (profitable) purchase, and you will partner with our Revenue team to develop landing pages that support the customer journey.
This role will partner closely with the Product/Engineering team to innovate and improve on the overall look, feel, and navigation of the site and to develop innovations in digital customer experience. The eCommerce Site Merchandising Manager will also support category management efforts on the business, helping analyze sku/category performance & identifying key opportunities for products to drive growth within the AU portfolio to drive growth. This role requires a strong analytical POV, a strong understanding/empathy for the customer journey, experience with html coding, and a strong sense of aesthetics and digital storytelling savvy, along with an in-depth understanding of marketing tools that support a customer’s journey.
The Day to Day
- Own & manage execution of all site merchandising, including: sort order, homepage programming, navigation, cross-sell/upsell, landing pages, category pages, and PDPs
- Develop & execute editorial programming across the site experience (homepage, landing pages, other content areas, etc.)
- Working hand in hand with the product tech function to run A/B tests across all areas of the site to continuously improve our primary metrics.
- Manage seamless execution of promotions & campaigns on AU site, including cross-functional effort across Brand, Revenue, Creative, Prod/Eng, Ops and CX
- Provide business inputs and context to prod/eng teams to influence features/functionality & prioritization to improves customer journey on site
- Identify sales, merchandising, and operational opportunities and collaborate with internal teams to drive change
- Manage subcategory/product listing and product detail pages
- Deliver financial goals (sales and profit, AOV, etc.) and objectives for each category within site merchandising, pricing, and site communication experience
- Analyze category & sku productivity, and competitive physical product offerings to identify/prioritize profitable growth opportunities for AU lines of business; provide product recaps for new & existing skus/categories
- Provide business inputs and context to creative teams to influence content execution that improves customer journey on site (SEO, blog, etc.)
- Develop AU’s merchandising & programming calendar
- Manage non-eng/non-feature a/b testing focused on maximizing campaign performance, in partnership with Revenue (i.e. sort order, clp/landing page destination testing, etc.)
- Assist with category management & assortment planning efforts for AU product portfolio; provide strategic recommendations to inform new product development process
- Assist with pricing strategy for AU product portfolio
Qualifications
- 4+ years relevant work experience as an eCommerce site merchandiser
- BS in Marketing, or equivalent experience
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with excellent Excel skills
- Experience in BI tools (Looker, Google Analytics or similar tools)
- Experience with working with CMS systems and with basic html coding; json experience a plus
- Confidently handle multiple projects simultaneously and under deadlines
- Possess proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Base Compensation Range - $70-100k
