What You’ll Do

  • Live by and champion our cultural values: Twilio Magic
  • Own the SEO efforts for the SendGrid.com domain.
  • Manage the agency relationship for technical and content-related SEO needs.
  • Create a comprehensive SEO strategy with a focus on driving traffic and revenue growth.
  • Project manage all SEO efforts, including: new content asset creation, current content optimizations, site architecture recommendations, and internal and cross-site linking strategy.
  • Evangelize SEO within the company, providing education and training to peers that impact SEO rankings. This includes content creation, site performance, design, and technology requirements.
  • Strategize around the SEO benefits and risks for the joint website strategy
  • Monitor current keyword rankings to improve rankings or maintain top position, and identify new keywords we do not rank on to drive growth.
  • Drive website optimizations to constantly improve rankings with the goal of traffic and revenue growth.
  • Audit website and provide technical recommendations to website team to improve indexing.
  • Proactively monitor all website pages for drops in traffic or rankings and prioritize optimizations to those pages.
  • Work alongside Analytics, Content, Website and SEM teams to identify top revenue-driving keywords and make optimizations to improve rankings.
  • Test meta-title and meta-description messaging, based on SEM insights, to increase conversion rates on current keyword rankings.
  • Test on-page CTAs for SEO ranking pages to improve conversion rates to signup starts.
  • Identify and execute on new SEO experiments, with a large focus on driving growth.
  • Report on SEO results and learnings with the extended team and broader organization.
  • Troubleshoot and validate report data from various tracking sources.
  • Monitor competitive actions and research marketplace changes to provide updates and recommendations to the team.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in hands-on SEO management
  • Experience working cross-functionally with content and website teams
  • SEO writing skills to provide guidance and recommendations to content writers
  • Functional knowledge of Wordpress for hands-on optimizations
  • Detail oriented with a mindset to analyze large data sets
  • Proven track record in driving customer acquisition through SEO
  • Proficient in Excel (pivot tables), PowerPoint, Word, and Google Docs
  • Team player with a great attitude and a positive outlook on life (it’s not all about work)
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical acumen and proven experience measuring effectiveness of marketing programs to drive leads and sales
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
