We are now looking to add a Senior Web Marketing Manager to #TeamGreen based either in our Altrincham office in Manchester, UK or Denver office in Colorado, US.
The Senior Web Marketing Manager will be the owner of Matillion web properties. The Senior Web Marketing Manager will have a thorough understanding of how digital properties work as part of an integrated B2B demand funnel, attracting the right persona prospects, and accelerating them along the buyer’s journey, and ultimately filling the sales pipeline with qualified opportunities.
This role requires deep web, analytics, and conversion experience with an understanding of the role the web site plays in the overall digital marketing strategy and employer brand. You will be a strategic thinker with a bias for action and a passion for developing hypotheses and testing them. You also possess the ability to gather and interpret data and use insights to formulate game plans and improve performance, working closely with both the Demand Generation and Product Marketing teams. 
You will function as our web expert and you will lead web strategy, analysis, and the implementation of launches, redesigns, and optimizations of Matillion web sites. You will also work with UX and Product teams to optimize registration and onboarding for Matillion’s freemium SaaS product.

Web strategy

  • Lead our web strategy and develop all Matillion web properties into a major source of organic traffic and conversion, complementing our Demand Generation and Product Marketing initiatives
  • Help maintain and evolve Matillion’s brand and positioning through a web lens; enforce brand consistency cross Matillion web properties
  • Use existing data and analytics to inform short- and long-term web strategy 
  • Help drive SEO and digital marketing strategy; maintain knowledge of the most effective organic search tactics and the relationship between web marketing, account based marketing, and demand generation efforts
  • Own relationships with Matillion’s web design and development agencies; own relationships with Matillion’s UX and in-house development teams
  • Work to achieve department and company goals with the ability to be agile and pivot when necessary

Web management

  • Build a sophisticated tracking and analytics infrastructure to help more clearly connect the dots on the digital buying journey, and arm our team with the right data and KPIs
  • Optimise the website architecture and content to align with SEO strategy and marketing goals; execute on- and off-page tactics for best performance
  • Collaborate and work side-by-side with Product, Development and UX teams to advise on and implement technical changes
  • Consistently drive design, content, and performance improvements for web and mobile through multivariate and A/B testing and team collaboration
  • Act as project manager on all Matillion web initiatives, from small implementations to large-scale web projects
  • Maintain and update core pages in WordPress
  • Set up standards and processes for all Matillion web properties (Matillion web site, Community, Exchange, and partner portal) including page and design specs, review cycles, and more, according to current best practices
  • Set up and maintain tag management, tracking, and integration with marketing automation systems, video platforms, and content creation suites

Technical / Function Skills: Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 7+ years experience in web/digital management, with knowledge of web development, UX/UI, and design and their intersection with marketing strategy and tactics
  • CMS guru, with in-depth experience on WordPress
  • Deep project management experience; proven ability to initiate large-scale web initiatives and get them across the finish line on time and within budget
  • Well versed in SEO strategy and best practices
  • Experience designing and optimising a web experience to support a buyers’ journey through the marketing and sales funnel
  • Understanding of content strategy and best practices relative to the web
  • Thorough knowledge of web testing methodologies and frameworks and experience putting them into action
  • Experience managing agency and contractor relationships, and working with design, development, and SEO teams

Technical / Function Skills: Desirable

  • Experience on a digital marketing team at a startup or high-growth company
  • Familiarity with modern data technology and cloud computing
  • Knowledge of B2B technology and the enterprise buying cycle
  • HTML5, Javascript, and CSS3 literacy
  • Experience working with and integrating Marketo, Uberflip, and Wistia
  • Marketing certifications and Agile training

  • Ability to keep sight of both details and the big picture
  • Excellent communicator and self-starter who enjoys working across teams
