About the Role:
JumpCloud is hiring a Senior Technical Community Manager. As the first Community Manager for JumpCloud, you will be responsible for building a thriving community of IT Admins and promoting awareness of our platform. The role will create and execute programs that help IT Admins connect with each other, collectively solve technology problems, find a platform for and implement an online forum, plan and organize virtual and in person events. It will be a data driven role that regularly measures and reports on the health (engagement) and growth of our Admin community.
Responsibilities:
Identify and implement a platform to support community creation and engagement.
Build, execute and report on success of program to increase user traffic and build content engagement
Organizing community (virtual and in person) events, such as meetups, and driving awareness and attendance for the events.
Identify and drive participation from JumpCloud experts and community members in key industry events, such as meetups and IT conferences.
Create a plan of content needs, such as blogs, technical videos, panel discussions, and more, and work across marketing and product teams to get content developed and published
Promote JumpCloud’s platform in key admin forums through direct engagement or directed engagement from technical experts
Find opportunities for internal engineering teams to participate in and advocate open-source projects.
Requirements (must-have)
Extroverted and willing to engage with anyone
Ability to understand technical concepts and learn our product
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Ability to persuade and influence others to join the community
5+ years working with open source projects as an evangelist, advocate or organizer
Big picture thinking as well as rolling up sleeves and getting into tactical work. Should be able to create a community plan and complete needed tasks to execute that plan
Strong communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written
Where you’ll be working
We have two offices in Colorado, one in Louisville and one in downtown Denver. Once we reopen offices you will have the opportunity to work from one of our office locations, flex your time or remain fully remote (in the U.S.).

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $125,000, including base salary and any related bonuses or commissions. JumpCloud provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, short and long term disability, life insurance and 401k benefits. We have an unlimited vacation policy and also provide commuter benefits for employees in the Denver/Boulder, CO area.
