Position Summary

Location3 is looking for a SEO Strategist to fully support the SEO team with training, mentorship, analyses, insights, recommendations and execution of SEO tactics for our clients. He or she should be able to gauge the goals that are necessary for the success of the owned/earned campaigns for our clients.  The right person will be highly organized, possess exceptional attention to detail and have outstanding interpersonal skills.  This is a role that heavily interacts with all SEO clients as well as works closely with the SEO team members and Partner Directors to ensure that the goals of our clients are being met.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with SEO team members to deliver on SEO vision, strategy and execution (includes, but is not limited to, monthly and quarterly reporting and SEO Strategy Roadmaps)

  • Guide and review all SEO audits and strategic recommendations for clients with support and execution from SEO AM and SEO AC team members

  • Identify and prioritize ongoing SEO opportunities that will drive organic KPIs (key performance indicators)

  • Maintain advanced SEO knowledge of latest algorithm updates, market developments and significant changes including the sharing and documentation of Agency POV and next steps

  • Lead and push agency in innovation and next steps for SEO growth and success, including the ability to autonomously vet and recommend tools, innovate and automate

  • Expert knowledge of all standard SEO tools including: SEMRUSH, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Screaming Frog Log File Analyser, Moz, Spyfu, Keyword Planner, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and familiarity with supplemental tools such as Conductor and Brightedge, Searchmetrics, Deepcrawl, SimilarWeb, Majestic SEO etc.

  • Advanced understanding of Google Analytics including data discovery and troubleshooting (Adobe Omniture is a plus but not required)

  • Exceptional  organization and presentation skills

  • Ability to explain complicated technical SEO concepts and value of SEO in a way that clients and account teams can easily understand as well as be able to troubleshoot and guide complex processes and issues alongside developers for implementation and fixes

  • Proven history and success in SEO with sites that have multiple location pages and a need to rank with geo-modified local searches/ local organic success needs

  • Experience in technical recommendations and strategies for site builds, migration and site merges

  • Offsite SEO knowledge for improvement in areas such as backlinks, social media platforms, YouTube, apps, amp pages and PWA's

  • Proactively identify and scale training process and documentation opportunities

  • Train new hires and interns on basic and/or advanced SEO skills

  • Co-manage SEO AMs and SEO ACs with PDs (Partner Directors)

  • Provide insights and analysis for new business development initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in SEO (agency experience a plus)

  • Outstanding ability to think strategically and identify and resolve complex problems

  • Ability to foster strong client relationships with clients and team members

  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to clearly and effectively articulate complex issues, insights and recommendations

  • Experience working with various CMS platforms

  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and website administration

  • High-level proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics tools including Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMRUSH, Moz, etc.

  • Google Analytics individual certification

  • Management experience preferred but not required

We are fully remote but our HQ is located in the heart of Denver on the 16th Street Mall with various restaurants, bars, light rail stations nearby.
