Your Impact:

Handshake is hiring a Senior Marketing Manager, Executive Programs, reporting to the Director of Field & Event Marketing on the Employer (B2B) Marketing team. In this role you will develop and lead our events and program strategy focusing on executives across HR, TA, and DEIB within our strategic sales/customer segment. You’ll get to create memorable, engaging experiences and programming for executives at the world’s largest and coolest employers – like Amazon, Disney, Nike, Procter & Gamble, the US Intelligence Agency, and more.  

You will have a keen sense of the messages, stories, engagement models, and tactics that will resonate for an executive audience. You will think with both a short-term mindset to ensure high standards for upcoming event execution while also setting the vision for and designing the right long-term strategy in partnership with leaders and teams across Content Marketing, Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, and of course our Strategic Sales and CX teams. 

Your Role

  • As an individual contributor, you will develop and execute on the overall executive engagement strategy within our strategic segment, including in-person and virtual events, the executive summit at our annual conference, executive advisory boards, EBCs, and account-based marketing/planning with our sales and customer-facing teams.

  • Prioritize an event strategy that balances owned and third party events and solves for a comprehensive mix of brand awareness and funnel objectives.

  • Work closely with content marketing, Handshake executives, and other SMEs to build compelling programming and content for all executive events, including agenda development, speaker recruitment, and program management. 

  • Work with customer-facing teams and customer marketing to identify executive champions/spokespeople and feature them in our events and thought leadership.

  • Act as the employer owner for our newly-formed Impact Advisory Board, a group of ~15 C-level executives & college presidents that help shape the Handshake direction and drive market awareness.

  • Establish our first-ever Executive Briefing Center (EBC) program in partnership with our strategic sales leader and Handshake executives 

  • Continuously review and refine goals for our executive engagement program to ensure we are measuring the right inputs and outputs, and can best inform future strategy planning.

Your Experience:

  • 7+ years of demonstrated success managing marketing events and/or programs, of which 2+ years experience producing executive events in a high-growth startup or scaled software company. Bonus if you have experience in HRTech or Talent Acquisition. 

  • Demonstrated experience leading in a fast-paced and highly cross functional organization and managing complex projects across a multitude of stakeholders; ability to drive from idea to desired outcome.

  • Ability to leverage strategic vision to inform priorities.

  • Experience presenting strategies and content to senior leadership with proven ability to influence. 

  • Able to travel for in-person meetings and events for approximately 20% of time
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills.

Bonus area of expertise:

  • Direct experience with Executive Briefing Centers (EBC’s) or Executive Comms

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position in SF, NY, Denver, CO, Austin, TX, Seattle, WA, Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA  is $170-$185K; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. 

Remote location is possible and will be commensurate with experience.

For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
