  • You are familiar with the programmatic landscape and should be an expert in media buying platforms such as DV360, The Trade Desk or Amazon DSP

What You’ll Do

As a Programmatic Media Buyer at Blue Moon Digital you will be part of the Paid Media team. You will be responsible support in the definition, development, implementation and execution of programmatic media for self-serve Demand Side Platforms. You will also be responsible for driving channel growth through revenue generating opportunities and will define processes and best practices.

Your responsibilities:

  • Drive agency strategy around programmatic buying through self-serve DSP platforms
  • Manage currently active DSP client campaigns within DV360
  • Onboard new clients into self-serve DSP media buying
  • Onboard new DSP platforms, including but not limited to Amazon DSP and Centro Basis DSP
  • Manage campaign budgets and forecast expected Key Performance Indicator
  • Iterate, create, implement and manage best practices for DSP media buying and trafficking
    • Campaign Setup
    • Generation of Tracking Pixel
    • Targeting
  • Create standardized, custom and ad-hoc performance reports
  • Implement Ad Verification tools and partners to monitor fraud, brand safety and ad viewability
  • Conduct monthly media delivery and reconciliation reports
  • Troubleshoot campaign delivery and performance issues
  • Development of Case Studies and agency marketing materials
  • Monthly business review and updates for agency stakeholders
  • Creates informational content around Programmatic Media Buying to streamline QBR and RFP output. Includes: blogs, white-papers, RFP decks, QBR slides
  • Facilitate new and existing partner/vendor relationships to strengthen our service offering
    • Audience Partners
    • Measurement Partners
    • Media Partners
  • Oversee execution of programmatic media campaigns for agency clients
  • Serve in a leadership and mentoring role to develop staff
  • Fosters teamwork through collaboration and leadership
  • Integrate media performance reporting within agency business intelligence tools

Here’s What an Ordinary Day of Work Might Look Like

  • Pitch and onboard current display clients into self-serve DSP media buying
  • Work with Display Strategists to build strategic DSP media plans to align with overall client goals
  • Establish QA processes to ensure error free delivery
  • Identify areas of opportunity to continually improve upon defined processes to grow internal capabilities
  • Train current media team members on programmatic media buying execution tasks and best practices

What We’ll Love About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Must have experience (3+ years) programmatic media buying experience
  • Google Ads and Google Analytics certifications a plus
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Quantitative analytical skills and aptitude
  • Strong software use skills including in-depth knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access), and aptitude to quickly learn new tools
  • Experience with Business Intelligence and Data Visualization platforms a plus
  • Familiarity with conversion tracking methodologies
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Omniture, Coremetrics)
  • In-depth knowledge of ad serving tools and measurement platforms
  • Clear understanding of ad verification systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments with effective resolution of conflicting priorities
  • Exceptional problem-resolution skills including the ability to think creatively in the development of ideas/solutions that will contribute value in a dynamic, client-centered environment
  • Ability to work well in a team, to shine as an individual and to maintain a sense of humor
