Product Marketing
Purpose: Connect and align our product, brand, sales, and customer success teams, by understanding the buyer, market, competition, and current customers to ensure we effectively get our desired message out and drive customer engagement with our products and services.
What you'll do:
Manage readiness for external product launches:
- Work with Product Managers to understand key value props and user personas for product.
- Work with Marketing to ensure effective external communication and materials are prepared prior to release, e.g., web content, collateral, conference messaging, video assets, advertising, content strategy, etc.
- Work with Sales to enable successful sales launches, e.g., product training, promotional language & resources, demo site updates, etc
- Coordinate with Customer Success to ensure necessary communication and tools are in place for launches e.g., Staff Training, Help Desk, future training workshops, etc.
- Produce customer-facing release content, e.g., blog posts, quick videos, promotional emails, training webinars, UserIQ engagements, social media posts, etc.
Manage readiness for internal product launches:
- Coordinate with Customer Success to develop necessary support information and materials. Provide training as needed so associates are fully prepared to work with our customers
- Pursue opportunities to raise general internal awareness and enthusiasm for releases
Product advocate:
- Work internally to raise and maintain excitement and knowledge of product features and capabilities through training events, product one-sheets, disclosure board, etc.
- Provide feedback to Software Development, Product Managers, and UX & UI designers on current development work
- Measure and work to increase customer engagement in the software
- Work externally to maintain high level of awareness and enthusiasm regarding product features through hosting events (in-person and virtual), attending conferences, meeting with customers, promotional communication, cultivating an active social media presence, etc.
Know our users, buyers, competition, and market:
- Work with Product Managers and Sales & Marketing Team to understand our competition and marketplace
- Work with Product Managers and Customer Success teams to understand our users
- Staying up on customer trends through User Groups, Beta forum, NPS Comments, Exit Surveys, etc.
Mastery of product knowledge and process:
- Work with Product Managers and Sales & Marketing Team to understand our competition and marketplace

What you need to have:
- B.S in business or equivalent work experience with 3-6 years of product marketing for a cloud based or software product preferred
- Prior marketing and customer research experience preferred
- Proven ability to coordinate teams and hit deadlines through influence and leadership of coworkers
