Role

The Product Marketing Specialist will work with the Director of Product Marketing (direct report) to drive customer marketing. Specifically, communicate with our ever-growing user base to optimize engagement, support our online community with accurate help and product documentation, and encourage feature adoption.

 

This role requires a passion for understanding the needs of our users, superior writing skills, and a desire to dig into the data around feature usage and content engagement to make every customer communication as effective as possible.

 

Responsibilities

  • Craft communications to our user base - including help center, how-to videos, online community, direct emails, and in-app content.
  • Update and maintain product documentation and videos for user self-guided learning.
  • Analyze feature usage and content engagement data; develop and execute recommendations for more effective engagement.
  • Solicit input from success team members and develop customer-facing collateral that addresses common problems.
  • Learn and implement in-app user communication tool(s) to surface marketing content, collect survey inputs, and build user tours and/or tool tips.
  • Question ‘the way things have always been done’ and suggest new ideas that get at our objective: happy, informed customers.

 

About You

  • You’re a self-starter who enjoys working in tight teams but doesn’t need to be micromanaged.
  • Strong writing and communication skills - expect to share samples of your work and writing.
  • Organized and detail oriented - willing to tackle (and streamline) expansive product documentation supporting a broad user base.
  • You’re passionate about technology and storytelling, but not afraid of a spreadsheet.
  • You love working in a startup environment.
  • You’re a humble and kind person.
  • You have 1-3 years of experience
