Job Description
PlayerLync, high-growth start-up, a 2018 Colorado Companies to Watch Winner, and the leading provider of modern content management and learning solutions for mobile workers is seeking a wicked-sharp Product Marketing Manager.
As PlayerLync’s Product Marketing Manager, you will be a key team member responsible for aligning audiences and the problems they want to solve with the value PlayerLync provides. You’ll focus primarily on working with the Marketing team to attract new prospects and customers by creating compelling market messages that clearly articulate, demonstrate, and illustrate our value. Key Responsibilities
- Understanding markets and audiences to become a data-driven expert on our buyers and why they buy, including how they make decisions, where they get information, and the thought process they go though to reach a conclusion. In other words, define the buyer journey.
- Not only understand the buyer journey, know how to communicate most effectively at every stage and touchpoint. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes to continually make us a better resource for the market.
- Collaborate with everybody – Sales, Marketing, Operations, Development, Product Management, Finance, Customer Success, Analysts, our Customers and Prospects. They all bring insights and therefore you’ll want to know what they think.
- Become a thought leader though research and analysis, then share all the smarts with others on the team.
- Create Marketing plans that comprehensively touch our Inbound, Outbound and Channel GTM strategies.
- Create reports and insights based on key performance indicators and metrics. Then tell us what’s working, what’s not, and how to improve.
- Support new revenue acquisition, Upsell value creation and customer retention.
- Help us identify and break into new market segments, working closely with the Product Management team.
- Plan the launches of new products and the releases of existing products and manage the implementation of the plan across all departments.
- Technical with the ability to turn features into applied uses
- Support the product Management team in supporting the sales channels. Train or develop tools and collateral that helps people understand how to get the most out of our solutions.
- Understand the competitive landscape and position us appropriately so that it’s widely understood that we’re the best solution in the market.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience working for a SaaS start-up.
- Prove that you’ve understood and can define buyer journeys.
- Familiar with marketing automation tools – specifically HubSpot, SF.com, Google Analytics, and ABM software like Engagio.
- Analytical, but more importantly, capable of translating data insights to business actions
- Expert in tracking ROI and results to prove what’s working or not
- Comfortable speaking in front of large crowds and senior groups
- Ability to manage yourself and other effectively to achieve objectives
- Must have writing and copy writing hops
- MBA preferred
- Being a marketing geek with certifications in Marketing disciplines doesn’t hurt
