About the opportunity
Ontra is seeking a corporate lawyer to join its growing marketing team as our next Product Marketing Manager (PMM)! Reporting to our Senior Director of Product Marketing, the PMM will leverage their deep understanding of the private markets industry to establish a strong product market fit across our product portfolio. Additionally, you’ll develop go-to-market and adoption strategies that target key audiences such as limited partners (LPs), law firms, and Ontra’s global network of lawyers.
The role is a great opportunity for a corporate lawyer looking to pivot into a business-critical marketing role; no prior marketing experience required. What you’ll do
- Serve as a subject matter expert: Translate your background in corporate law to the marketing function, providing valuable industry knowledge and expertise to cross-functional stakeholders across the business
- Develop go-to-market strategy: Develop plans and oversee tactics to engage influential partners, including law firms, LPs, and Ontra’s global legal partner network
- Define messaging: Update Ontra’s existing messaging based on customer research and interviews; refresh and create new marketing materials such as customer-facing decks, webpages, and product-specific materials
- Influence product direction: Identify product requirements based on focus groups and end-user interactions, and integrate findings into Ontra’s product roadmap
What you’ll bring
- Experience: 3+ years of experience working in corporate law; experience at a SaaS B2B company helpful, but not required
- Communication Skills: You’re a strong, concise, persuasive writer with a passion for storytelling and building narratives

In addition to cash salary, the total compensation package Ontra offers includes unit-based compensation (if applicable). Certain roles in our sales and account management departments may also be eligible to receive variable compensation or commission.
