Director of Product Marketing

We’re the leading provider of modern mobility solutions to top tier companies like Abercrombie & Fitch, Crocs, Southern Gas, Starbucks, and an array of professional sports teams including the Denver Broncos. We’re seeking a high caliber Product Marketing Lead to join the marketing team to take us to the next level.
As PlayerLync’s Product Marketing Lead, you will be a key team member responsible for aligning audiences and the problems they want to solve with the values PlayerLync provides. This is a senior team position that focuses on winning enabling our Sales and Customer Success teams to win and penetrate new markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding audiences and competitors to become a data-driven expert on our buyers - why they buy, how they make decisions, where they get information, and the thought process they go through to reach an investment decision. Through insights and data, you’ll define the buyer journey.
- Not only understand the buyer journey, know how to communicate most effectively at every stage and touchpoint. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes to continually make us a better resource for the market.
- Work particularly closely with the Product Management team to understand the product, competition, markets and market opportunities inside and out.
- Develop our go-to-market strategy in close collaboration with Product Management, Customer Success, Partnerships, and Sales
- Maintain competitive intelligence database and analyze win/loss intel with Sales to constantly improve our positioning and win ratios
- Become a thought leader though research and analysis, then share all the smarts with others on the team
- Create Marketing plans and Sales Enablement materials that comprehensively support our Inbound, Outbound and Channel GTM strategies.
- Create reports and insights based on key performance indicators and metrics. Then tell us what’s working, what’s not, and how to improve.
- Support new revenue acquisition, Upsell value creation and customer retention.
- Help us identify and break into new market segments, working closely with the Product Management team.
- Work closely with Product Management to create impactful product launches and training, both internal to all departments in PlayerLync and to the market & customers.
- Play a significant role in helping to achieve revenue, direct customer and channels bookings growth objectives & targets.
- Collaborate across the wider marketing team on key messages for research and thought leadership, lead generation, customer acquisition, partner development, events
- Understand the competitive landscape and position us appropriately so that it’s widely understood that we’re the best solution in the market.
- An understanding of buying cycles across SMBs and large enterprises
- Assertive team player and leader with the ability to positively influence without direct authority to drive deliverable
- Ability to take complex ideas and simplify them
Requirements
- 8+ years of product marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience working in a high growth SaaS company
- Proven and visible marketing experience driving adoption and expansion of a product
- Collaborate with everybody – Sales, Marketing, Operations, Development, Product Management, Finance, Customer Success, Analysts, our Customers and Prospects. They all bring insights and therefore you’ll want to know what they think
- Prove that you’ve understood and can define buyer journeys
- Familiar with marketing automation tools - specifically HubSpot, SF.com, Google Analytics, and ABM software like Engagio, DemandBase or Terminus.
- Create content (e.g., white papers, product videos, website copy, blog posts, webinars) to support progression along the Buyer Journey (Sales and Partner Enablement)
- Provide strategic guidance to the development of marketing programs, product-level selling presentations, collateral, and product content
- Analytical, but capable of translating data insights to business actions
- Comfortable speaking in front of large crowds and senior groups
- Possess a highly analytical approach, used in a wide range of responsibilities
- Working with Product Management, perform market validation, segmentation exercises and ROI calculations
- Define and execute the market development strategy to build new categories
- Experience/Skill develop effective relationships and interact with senior leadership.
