About You

The Partner Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting Notion’s efforts to build and support a world-class ecosystem of partners, which include insurance providers, developers, property management companies, SMB, retail, and other vertical partners. You’ll work collaboratively with the Business Development team to market to Notion’s partners, with our partners to implement co-marketing initiatives, and with Marketing to directly market to our partners’ broader customer base.

This is a cross-functional role, and you must have a diverse set of skills to both enjoy the role and achieve success. You’ll establish marketing relationships with partners and understand their business models. From that crucial understanding of our unique value to one another, you will design creative co-marketing plans to build our brand, create demand, and help drive revenue. These plans should have a strong focus on business impact from the start, as you will be driving their execution, measuring results, and optimizing for success. Notion's work environment is very dynamic, so you should be someone who thrives in a very fluid, fast-paced atmosphere, and must be able to effectively manage your time and tasks.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop overarching marketing strategy and go-to-market plans in conjunction with our largest partners, addressing how we’ll market to, with, and through our partners
  • Create collateral and messaging (including email campaigns, white papers and product notifications) for our partners’ staff and resellers, and communication + acquisition plans for end customers
  • Build out and optimize joint programs, events, and co-marketing initiatives in line with company objectives and KPIs
  • Regularly track, analyze, and report on KPIs such as lead generation, pipeline impact, revenue, etc.
  • Build strong relationships with marketing counterparts and executive stakeholders
  • Lead market research efforts to build out a strong framework of joint opportunities and competitive positioning
  • Become a subject matter expert on Notion's use cases and value proposition for partners, and partner value props by geography and industry
  • Map existing product functionality to market opportunities in conjunction with partner capabilities
  • Work closely with Marketing and Business Development teams to strengthen new partnerships and go-to-market implementation
  • Collaborate with the rest of Notion’s marketing team (including demand generation, PR and communications, product marketing) in the delivery of partner programs
  • Help drive BD enablement, ensuring appropriate education and understanding of joint value proposition
  • Work with PR and Customer Support to drive internal and external messaging about partnerships
  • Work closely with team to ensure alignment and build out of success goals and KPIs

 

Requirements:

  • 5 - 7 years of channel marketing or marketing communications experience
  • Broad marketing skills with capabilities in events, lead generation, PR, etc.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically
  • Ability to balance multiple requirements in a fast paced environment
  • Strong in developing processes and making things programmatic/thinking at scale
  • Flexible attitude to work and can travel as required
  • Experience in hardware, IoT, and/or insurance an asset
  • Project management experience an asset
  • You’re a proactive and thoughtful communicator -- over the phone, through email, and on social media
  • You’re a team player but can also work independently and make decisions
  • Knowledge of how to work with Business Development in the field
  • Ability to think outside the box and bring creative ideas to the table to support marketing efforts for Notion and our partners
  • Experience managing a budget and comfortable with making key decisions to ensure ROI on budget spend
