POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Paid Search Manager, who along with senior company leaders, will define and lead strategy for AdAction’s paid search activities. The successful applicant will manage paid media campaigns across multiple platforms - performing the day-to-day planning, execution, and optimization of paid search campaigns that drive top-of-funnel business performance for multiple websites, as well as assisting in the development of ongoing departmental strategies and processes.
The Paid Search Manager will make optimizations and updates daily. You’ll be trusted to oversee all account activity, collaborate with Product Managers, and come up with campaign strategies to increase click through rates, and ultimately revenue for the company. You will be the in-house expert on all things Paid Search and be expected to use your experience and knowledge to drive results for the business. .
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform day-to-day campaign activities for Paid Search (PPC) campaigns, including: bid management, budget allocation, forecasting, performance monitoring, strategic testing, and campaign expansion.
- Provide ongoing recommendations for campaign growth, enhancement, and innovations.
- Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns.
- Audit campaign performance, tracking, pacing, settings and work with Analysts and Developers to ensure all landing pages, monitoring and tagging are correct.
- Manage platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, Google and Bing Shopping, Yahoo Gemini, and potentially international platforms such as Yahoo Japan, and others.
- Stay up to date with the latest PPC trends, tools, and best practices with a desire to bring innovative thinking to SEM practices.
- Use Google Analytics and other site technologies to evaluate campaign performance, directing timely and iterative improvements.
- Conduct A/B tests on paid search landing pages as part of optimization efforts.
- Analyze website traffic across multiple channels in-order-to recommend changes or make optimizations.
- Perform competitive search analysis, as needed, and develop target keyword lists.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
- 3-5 years in a hands-on role managing paid search campaigns at an agency or brand.
- Deep knowledge of Google Ads, Google Analytics and SEM best practices.
- Strong expertise and background in Google Analytics and/or audience data management platforms, as well as how to use these tools in paid media campaigns.
- Deep understanding of keyword research, keyword expansions, ad copy creation and execution, bid changes, campaign performance tracking and reporting, A/B testing, analysis.
- Understanding of cross channel and cross device tracking, optimization, and attribution.
- Capable of successfully managing paid search programs with limited oversight.
- Demonstrated success of managing complex campaigns with 100+ ad groups simultaneously.
- Self-starter who can work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
- Highly organized and process oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks at once while delivering results against deadlines.
- Experience with paid social, display, OLV/OTT and/or offline media is preferred.
- Experience with Google Tag Manager and WordPress is preferred.
- Knowledge of advanced Excel features (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas, statistical analysis).
- Strong ability to analyze data, yield well-informed interpretation, develop action plans based on findings, and build and implement effective strategies.
