Job Overview:
The Digital Media Strategist is responsible for the planning and stewardship of all media for existing clients and new business, in addition to research, development, and presentation of strategic media plans. Key responsibilities include data analysis and research to determine appropriate media mixes, target audience recommendations, competitive analysis, geotargeting strategies and budget projections.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze marketing, industry, and consumer insights data to determine the client’s advertising and media needs
- Analyze media channels and make recommendations as to how best allocate the advertising budget. Plans typically include analysis and recommendations on targeting, geography, scheduling, support level and budget
- The strategist must also ensure that media objectives, strategies and executional guidelines are clearly communicated and executed
- Develop multimedia media plans that align with client objectives and KPIs
- Responsible for client and campaign budgets, including billing discrepancy resolution, stewardship, quality control, delivery and optimizations
- Present plans to the clients and internal departments, with assistance where necessary of a more senior media team
- Maintain strong relationships with media vendors and stay abreast of market conditions and changes in the media landscape
- Utilization and knowledge of syndicated media, research, and other data resources (including but not limited to Kantar, Pathmatics, MRI/Simmons, Claritas PRIZM, Campaign Manager 360, Google Analytics, etc)
- Preparation of client media performance and reporting documents in conjunction with the operations and client services teams
- Active participant to the overall billing process - responsible for collecting and inputting data

Compensation:
$50k - $65k annual depending on years of experience
Location Requirements:
Ability to report to Denver, CO office on occasion preferred. Work from home available.

- Bachelor's degree; degree or concentration in advertising, marketing, and communications preferred
- 4-7 years in media planning, buying, strategy and research (digital media knowledge is required)
- Proficient in planning digital media channels, including programmatic and social media (traditional media experience preferred but not required)
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating
- Able to work successfully within a team, handling high volume workload, and meeting tight deadlines
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities
- Strong analytical abilities & proficiency in math
- Ability to effectively utilize media research and reporting resources. Technical proficiency, particularly with media systems including Kantar, MRI/Simmons, Claritas PRIZM, Campaign Manager 360, etc as well as proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
