Position Summary
Location3 is searching for a Media Buyer to join our Planning and Strategy team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of how to set up and continually optimize media campaigns using key performance indicators. The Media Buyer will work closely with the Director of Paid Media for the execution and success of media campaigns for assigned clients. The Media Buyer will possess an understanding of how paid media tactics align with client objectives across branding and direct response initiatives.
Essential Functions:
Set up, optimize, and manage digital media buys as well as other projects to guarantee performance as well as ensure deliverables are client ready
Set up and optimize campaigns using KPI’s to drive business results and performance
Conduct reporting and campaign set-up with strong attention to detail
Communicate campaign performance, both written and verbally
Knowledge and expertise in programmatic buying, paid social, audience creation, campaign management and optimization
Manage campaign budgets, pacing, and inventory switches
Multitask and work autonomously on assigned client projects to meet all deadlines
Present client facing communications as well as educational overviews to digital and non-digital stakeholders
Critically analyze and process data in order to effectively communicate findings in verbal and written form
Evaluate the ability of data sources, inventory and media platforms to create competitive advantage
Oversee flawless execution of direct campaign management using self-serve tools
Understand and convert campaign performance optimizations into digestible insights
Provide client deliverables as well as manage approvals, budgets, and vendor invoice reconciliation
Track and analyze campaign performance against client business objectives and KPI’s, and deliver recommendations and optimizations to improve performance
Develop key insights and address implications based on data that is presented to clients using a storytelling reporting format
Possess solid understanding of the brands, media channels and the flow of the agency
Deep understanding of media programs, such as Campaign Manager (previously Doubleclick Campaign Manager), as well as programmatic buying platforms such as Bid Manager, Trade Desk, and Facebook Business Manager
Requirements:
Digital campaign set up and management experience
Understanding of audience segmentation and targeting tactics
Experience buying programmatic display and paid social
In-depth knowledge and experience using Facebook Business and Ad Managers
Deep understanding and experience with all Facebook products and campaign types
2-4 years of hands-on experience in media buying
2+ years of hands-on experience with digital ad trafficking through third party ad server and monitoring brand safety and viewability verification, as well as cross-channel attribution
Previous experience trafficking digital media campaigns
Experience with programmatic buying platforms, preferred
Experience using media planning and buying tools
Solid interpersonal and teamwork abilities – collaboration is a critical requirement
Strong analytical abilities, including drawing insights from client or media reported trends
