Minimum Educational Req: Two or four-year college degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in the area of marketing or a related field
Years of Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a similar or related position
Position Summary:
The Marketing Research and Development Coordinator is responsible for assisting with all facets of the marketing department including research, reporting, graphics and any other duties as required.
Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:
Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases
Plans meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists
Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt
Assists with implementation of marketing and advertising campaigns by being involved with assembling and analyzing sales forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; updating calendars, etc.
Maintains and updates consumer databases on a regular basis
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications
Minimum Requirements:
Advanced knowledge with Excel (including pivot tables) and uses related to data management
Creative, organizational, and project management skills helpful
Detail-oriented and organized with a passion for accuracy and quality
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting
Provide exceptional internal and external customer service at all times
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not supervise the work of others.

Internal and external interaction:
