About You

The Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting Notion’s efforts to build and support a world-class ecosystem of B2B partners and D2C customers. You’ll work collaboratively with the Marketing team to develop and execute materials for our partners and direct-to-consumer customers. The Marketing Manager will support all marketing activities, but specifically be responsible for: Email, social media, influencer marketing, mobile marketing, content development and curation.

This is a cross-functional role, which requires a diverse set of skills to both enjoy the role and achieve success. Notion's work environment is very dynamic, so you should be someone who thrives in a very fluid, fast-paced atmosphere, and must be able to effectively manage your time and tasks.

Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, you’ll understand Notion’s B2B and B2C business models. With that crucial understanding, you will execute co-marketing plans in conjunction with the Design, Customer Care, Sales and Account Management Teams. You will develop a marketing calendar, project lead and execute D2C newsletters and orchestrate triggered campaigns, blog posts and social campaigns. You will drive word of mouth via a social

influencer/partnership program by identifying personas, establishing and maintaining a relationship. These programs should have a strong focus on business impact from the beginning, as you will be driving their execution, measuring results, and optimizing for success.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a Marketing Calendar which outlines each tactic, target market and goals.
  • Enhance, execute and maintain the Notion email program: Newsletters, triggers and internal communication.
  • Create content, execute and maintain the Notion blog and website.
  • Enhance the Notion social media presence with consistent updates/thought leadership/partner support (Customer questions/inquiries to be maintained by the Customer Support team).
  • Establish and be responsible for the Notion Social Influencer and Affiliate partnerships/relationships.
  • Assist with the strategy, development and execution of Partner marketing messaging and collateral.
  • Build out and optimize programs, events, and marketing initiatives in line with company objectives and KPIs.
  • Regularly track, analyze, and report on KPIs.
  • Create positive relationships with design, customer support, sales and account management counterparts.
  • Collaborate with the rest of Notion’s marketing team (including PR, Marketplace and Strategy) in the delivery of partner and direct to consumer programs.

Requirements:

  • 5 - 7 years of customer-first brand marketing, social or email marketing or marketing communications experience.
  • Broad marketing skills with capabilities specifically within retention marketing.
  • Social Influencer experience.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Paid media experience not required, but a plus.
  • Affiliate/Partnership marketing not required, but a plus.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically.
  • Ability to use metrics/data to find opportunities.
  • Ability to balance multiple requirements in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong in developing processes and making things programmatic/thinking at scale.
  • Flexible attitude to work and can travel as required.
  • You possess a can-do attitude and thoughtful communicator.
  • You are a great teammate but can also work independently and make decisions.
  • Ability to think in an unexpected way and bring creative ideas to the table to support marketing efforts for Notion and customers.
