Marketing Director

We are looking for a Marketing Manager to build and create our brand trough storytelling, social media optimization, implement/ track our digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels as part of our initial go-to-market strategy and beyond.
The Last Gameboard (“TLG”) is a venture-backed, cutting edge startup tech company revolutionizing the table top game industry. We have created the world’s first board game console that enables the interaction of physical objects on a screen. We help game makers thrive by slashing costs and time-to-market timelines while providing critical user-level game play data to continually enhance and improve their games. We help game players by combating the technology isolation trend through facilitating face-to-face social interactions enhanced (not replaced) by technology.
Job Description
The Marketing Manager should have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to design and lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.
What You’ll Do
- Develop brand storytelling
- Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
- Design, build and maintain our social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
- Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
- Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
- Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
- Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
- Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
- Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
- Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels
- Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
- Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
Required Skills
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in gaming (table-top, PC, streaming, and/or console)
- BA degree in marketing or related work experience
- Proven experience in digital marketing
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced startup environment
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
- Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
- Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends)
- Working knowledge of ad serving tools
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
