The Solution Marketing Manager – Commercial Products is responsible for driving profitable growth through the marketing of DigitalGlobe solution capabilities to key industry verticals that we serve. The position requires an in-depth understanding of market requirements from buyers and users of geospatial data. The position involves close interaction with the key customers, sales, regional marketing, corporate marketing, demand marketing, commercial strategy, business development, product management, and the strategic partnership team. A background in purposing geospatial data to innovate business processes such as HD mapping for Autonomous Vehicles and other mapping solutions, or leveraging geodata, and 3D data sets for Telco RF planning is ideal. Job duties include gathering market requirements, developing and executing foundational solution content for sales engagement, awareness and thought leadership activities, persona development and value proposition identification for demand generation campaigns, working cross functionally to driving opportunities to achieve DigitalGlobe’s solution opportunity and sales goals.

The candidate must be flexible and able to work both in teams, and independently. They must be an organized, self-starter comfortable engaging business and technology decision makers within DigitalGlobe, within partner organizations, and with potential customers. They must possess strong analytical capabilities and excellent communication skills in order to communicate vision, strategy and tactics across multiple stakeholders. As the internal and external evangelist for the solution offerings the position requires big-picture vision coupled with the organizational skills and the internal drive to make the product vision a reality.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with sales, business development, regional marketing and strategy to identify areas for growth and broaden or create new market positioning that drives further awareness and opportunities for solutions
  • Develop solution value propositions, solution sales tools and other specific content to support targeted go to market strategies.
  • Support a solution strategy with sales, business development, corporate and regional marketing to drive pipeline, qualified opportunities and closed won solution sales.
  • Work with Sales, business development and finance to accurately forecast and monitor the success of solutions.

 

 

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or geospatial required. Masters Preferred
  • 5+ year’s work experience required. 5+ preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent cross-functional skills across customers, sales, marketing, business development, and strategic partnerships
  • Ability to be flexible and work independently and in teams.
