OVERVIEW

BiggerPockets is looking for an expert in digital marketing and user acquisition to drive new traffic to BiggerPockets.com. Working on the Growth and Analytics team, the SEO Specialist will work closely with the Director of Content, Director of Marketing, and the Product & Engineering teams to implement initiatives, both on-site (SEO) and externally, that expand the BiggerPockets audience. 
 

YOU WILL

• Increase organic web traffic to BiggerPockets.com.
• Optimize user-generated content to improve SEO rankings and virality. 
• Work with Product & Growth teams to optimize the site to improve organic search rankings, and help site visitors find relevant content.
• Train BiggerPockets’ team of volunteer blog writers to improve the SEO quality of their writing. 
• Analyze user content consumption trends to inform Director of Content and Video Production team on what content should be written to attract new users. 
• Complete advanced on-page and technical SEO for websites.
• Optimize mobile SEO, and site speed improvements.
• Do off-page SEO with quality link earning, social media, and other off-page SEO best practices, including developing and maintain interpersonal relationships with major media outlets and influencers in the real estate and personal finance communities to syndicate BiggerPockets’ content to external sites and build backlinks. 
• Day to day SEO monitoring with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahref.
• Create weekly/monthly SEO reports and communicate the changes with internal stakeholders. 
• Assist with social media strategy, particularly devising new methods to convert social media engagement to site traffic.
• Support content creation by personally producing content when existing content producers are unable to produce what is needed.

YOU HAVE

• Proven ability to drive organic web traffic, including an expert knowledge of SEO best-practices
• Knowledge of WordPress Content Management System
• Commitment to nurturing relationships with key media contacts and industry influencers
• Experience with this, particularly in the real estate investing/personal finance industry is strongly desired.
• Demonstrable experience taking ownership of key business metrics
• Strong ability to collaborate across teams
• Ability to gather and present data that demonstrates the efficacy of projects, and dictates strategy
• Strong communication skills and open to feedback and ideas from teammates

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• BS/BA degree or 2+ equivalent years of experience
• 2+ years experience implementing SEO tactics
• Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle
• Enthusiasm for and all-around subject matter expertise in the subjects of real estate investing, personal finance, and wealth building preferred. 

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATION

Passion and/or knowledge of the real estate investing and personal finance community strongly desired.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
