What You’ll be Doing:

As the lifecycle marketing manager you’ll own the setup, launch, and ongoing development of a fast paced and fast growing marketing program that includes email, push notifications, and in-product notifications. You will be responsible for managing a breadth of responsibilities including workflows for: onboarding, retention, and re-activation.

A strong relationship with multiple stakeholders and the ability to negotiate priorities is key to success in this role. The right person will bring a blend of goal-driven focus and ability to work cross-functionally across the organization.

In our fast-paced startup environment, every day can (and will) be different. Your role is to take charge and assume responsibility for the following:

  • Own lifecycle communication plan and optimize based on engagement and user data

  • Develop and execute email marketing strategy throughout the customer journey

  • Own email campaign creation leveraging brand, copy, and design resources

  • Own push and in-app notifications strategy

  • Drive member engagement and upgrades and reduce churn

  • Work cross-functionally with acquisition marketing to execute click-funnels

  • Analyze and report on the impact of your campaigns on key metrics, including customer lifetime value and attributed financials

  • Optimize your campaigns - subject line, template, content, audience, cadence, promotion - to maximize value and drive engagement

  • Effectively negotiate priorities among multiple stakeholders

  • Drive segmentation and user affinity data collection efforts

  • Inform design and copy regarding email best practices

  • Develop, tune and report on the A/B testing plan

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Have experience marketing subscription products and understand their unique dynamics

  • Experience with mobile dating and social apps

  • Experience working with Agile or Lean Startup methodologies

  • 3-6 Years of email marketing experience

  • Experience with A/B testing and sending large-scale email campaigns

  • Experience with subscription data reporting models

  • Experience with Mixpanel or similar

  • Experience with list reputation management

  • Expert-level skills in Excel, Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.), and project management systems (Asana, Clubhouse, etc.)
