Job Description
We are looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to join our team and help us engage our global employees. This role will help us deliver the right information to the right people at the right time across a variety of communication channels.
The ideal candidate can navigate and learn new technology and understands the importance of following process. In this role, you will manage our digital tools and keep our content organized. You will develop well-organized project management skills in our fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. To do this, we maintain a bias to action because delivering high-quality work on time is critical to our success.
This role demands excellent customer service across all levels of our organization, from team members to executives. Creativity is also very important in how we craft compelling content to keep it fresh, engaging, and on-brand.
Core requirements and responsibilities:
Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:
- Diligently administer daily updates on our intranet, digital signage, company email, etc.
- Draft intranet posts, emails, presentations, and digital signs.
- Monitor and make updates to our intranet to ensure information is always accurate.
- Continuously improve content through editing, proofing, and collaborating with others.
- Research, ask questions, and receive approvals to ensure all communications are correct and aligned with stakeholder and leadership expectations.
- Manage content repositories and keep content organized.
- Adhere to processes and cadences to ensure consistency of our deliverables.
- Adhere to brand guidelines, including writing style, voice, and visual look and feel.
- Assist in creating deliverables for change management projects.
- Assist in internal video production, editing, and delivery.
- Work collaboratively and build positive relationships with members of all departments.
- Learn and become an ambassador for our company culture.
- Assist with other projects, such as supporting internal meetings, attending and covering events, working on PowerPoint presentations, and others as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven and consistent attention to detail.
- Ability to proactively manage individual work assignments and timelines.
- Ability and willingness to ask questions and research information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of intranet management with a willingness to actively learn more.
- Experience administering digital signage, email systems, and other multi-media content creation tools is a huge plus!
- Basic understanding of design principles.
- Ability to develop positive professional relationships.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in a corporate/professional work environment.
- Education and/or experience in communications, marketing, or another relevant field.
Additional Requirements and Details:
- Working full-time in the Denver office.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
- Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).
- Frequent sitting and/or standing.
