POSITION SUMMARY
AdAction Interactive is seeking a data-driven Head of SEO to drive natural search growth across our corporate site and growing portfolio of owned and operated properties. As a crucial leader in our growth marketing discipline, you’ll drive end-to-end execution through collaboration with Product, Content, Analytics and Engineering teams, and report results and insights to partners and executives.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable working in ambiguity, without much legacy, building the approach and strategy from scratch. The right candidate will be highly analytical and will enjoy exploring creative approaches that result in the best possible return on investment. This position requires someone that can plan strategically and fulfill tactically in order to improve our organic presence and website infrastructure. The Head of SEO will possess a high level of creativity, attention to detail, technical prowess, digital marketing knowledge and project management skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee SEO implementation across content and corporate sites.
- Develop and oversee the execution of strategic online customer acquisition plans designed to maximize volume and conversion.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO channel performance, including leads, customers, traffic, site utilization, keyword performance, site performance, and competitive benchmarking.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, search engine algorithms, rules, techniques, and changes in products and platforms.
- Partner with external agencies/vendors to create, implement, and optimize natural search campaigns across multiple search engines and brands.
- Manage Ranking and Keyword status by producing keyword analysis. Manage tracking, managing and distributing daily and weekly organic rankings.
- Partner with Content team to ensure that all copy is engaging as well as user and SEO friendly.
- Combine internal and external research to identify key growth opportunities, making recommendations or managing projects to expand and optimize owned and operated assets.
- Analyze and report on site usability and make SEO-informed recommendations to Product and Growth teams responsible for site architecture, navigability, and interactive elements.
- Responsible for leading technical website audits to identify bugs, errors and optimizations needed to improve SEO performance.
- Develop and implement link building strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- BA/BS degree in marketing or analytical field.
- 5+ years of technical SEO experience with a proven record of innovative SEO strategies.
- Detailed knowledge of SEO best practices, Google quality guidelines and search engine criteria/algorithms.
- Experience with SEO applications, tools, and web analytics packages.
- Ability to define opportunities and problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and make valid conclusions.
- Innovative thinker capable of operating both in a strategic capacity (big-picture perspective, asks "why") and a hands-on/execution capacity (detail-oriented, conscientious)
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proven success in utilizing analytics to provide strategic recommendations and drive concrete action.
- Experience or strong desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience working with in house Analytics team and self serve platforms for report generation and analysis. SQL experience preferred.
