We’re looking for a self-starting, creative, and data-driven lead generation leader to join Backbone as a Growth Marketing Manager. The Growth Marketing Manager will own the strategy, development, and execution of our paid, earned, and owned channels to drive growth for Backbone's lead generation initiatives which are the beginning of our sales funnel. This is a highly collaborative role that will partner across functions including product, engineering, sales, copy, and design to take our SaaS platform to the next level of notoriety and engagement while working out of Backbone HQ in Downtown Boulder, CO.

The Growth Marketing Manager will have a strong emphasis on analyzing our marketing and sales funnels and creating a testing strategy to systematically improve performance across channels. This person will also oversee execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns across email, paid media, in-product, events, and offline channels.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the execution of campaigns that drive growth for our sales pipeline, partnering closely with all departments
• Set ambitious growth and retention targets and develop quarterly marketing plans to meet them
• Have a holistic understanding of the entire purchase funnel across marketing and product touchpoints
• Work closely with product design, client success, and marketing to market new products and enhance existing sales strategies
• Partner with design and copywriters to develop clear, compelling, and differentiated marketing collateral across channels
• Develop a cross-channel demand generation strategy including audience segmentation, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and optimization
• Generate data-driven hypotheses for improving marketing performance, design and execute A/B tests, and apply knowledge of basic statistics (e.g. sample size, significance) to determine ROI
• Drive overall lead generation strategy from forecasting, budgeting, and planning to resource allocation, prioritization, campaign execution, optimization, and reporting
• Analyze findings, report on KPIs, and present recommendations to a broader group of stakeholders week over week to drive visibility around incremental funnel optimizations

Qualifications you have:

• 3-5 years of experience in fast-paced, startup, tech company environments 
• Deep knowledge of Campaign management, ad-buying, messaging and reporting
• Track record of using metrics and analytics to make data-informed decisions
• Knowledge of local, state, and national marketing practices
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Well-organized with excellent leadership qualities
• Proven management skills with the ability to train, influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
• Strong work ethic and initiative with a very positive attitude
• Ability to represent Backbone at conferences and events
