Global Marketing Manager - Women’s Health

Invitae is a rapidly growing genetic testing company driven by the mission to expand access to high-quality, comprehensive, low-cost genetic testing in order to lower healthcare costs and improve outcomes for billions of people.

To help realize our mission we’re looking for a Global Marketing Manager to lead promotion of our Women’s Health portfolio offering. This role is responsible for driving adoption and consistent utilization of Invitae’s genetic testing with ob-gyns, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, IVF clinics, and their teams, inclusive of genetic counselors.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and own a marketing plan that drives adoption of Invitae’s women’s health offering, including carrier screening, non-invasive prenatal screening (NIPS), and hereditary cancer risk screening, predominantly in the United States with supporting work for Canada, Mexico, and Australia.
  • Know your customers (including key influencers like nurses) and the market landscape inside and out. Define audience segments and work in service of them. 
  • Define and execute global strategies and tactics based on customer insights as well as market and competitive developments (and pivot as needed based on customer needs and/or market and/or competitive events).
  • Define and maintain accountability for key performance indicators to determine ROI, including but not limited to monthly business performance (volume), customer acquisition, relevant marketing metrics, etc. 
  • Sharpen positioning, messaging and value proposition in partnership with cross-functional teammates; develop core claims documents in partnership with medical and sales.
  • Develop and update promotional materials. Manage all associated reviews. This includes development of briefs, collaboration with internal creative services or agency partner, sales, medical, legal and product teams as applicable. Responsible for reconciliation and pull-through of comments.
  • Lead the strategy, planning and execution of key conferences within women's health.
  • Partner with the web and digital team to develop and implement digital tactics, including paid search and SEO.
  • Manage projects and relevant budgets. This includes completing work plans, engaging the relevant teammates in reviews (with ample notice), coordinating within and across clusters as well as with other cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as an active and engaged member of the marketing team, collaborating and sharing with teammates. 


What you bring:

  • 5+ years experience in healthcare/clinical marketing with your target audience being OBGYN's, Clinicians, Maternal fetal medicine specialists and/or nurse practitioners is essential
  • You have deep experience marketing reproductive or women’s health products. Experience within genetics marketing is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience building and implementing multichannel clinical marketing plans; ability to connect with the voice of the customer.
  • Proven track record of success executing marketing plans, achieving goals while working with both internal resources and external agency partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized with a strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks; creative problem solver
  • Curiosity, humility, and an interest in building something impactful.
  • Leadership and “do-ership.” You can write the plan. And execute it.
  • Independent, self-starter, who takes ownership and is able to operate with a high degree of autonomy while delivering excellent results.
  • Excellent team player capable of collaborating with multiple stakeholder groups in a fast-paced environment. You know that it takes a village. And how to rally the village.
  • The ability to say: I don’t know but am excited to figure it out/try.

Compensation ranges:

  • 1.  $ 84,200 - $ 105,200: Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Rhode Island, Alaska, Southern California, Connecticut, New Jersey, Washington, Massachusetts, District of Columbia (Washington DC)
  • 2.  $ 91,000 -$ 114,800: Northern California (by Zip), New York, San Francisco physical locations
  • 3. $ 76,500.00 - $ 95,600 All other geographies not listed above (USA) 




This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. $76,500$95,600 USD
