NetApp is looking for an Event Marketing Communication Manager that will be responsible for creating event messaging and all written communications for NetApp Global Tier 1 and Tier 2 events.  We are visionary, bold, expert, confident and optimistic and we are looking for someone who can translate our personality and messages into event communications that inform and excite attendees, prospective attendees and sales channels. This position will work cross functionally with Business Unit teams and communications leaders to align their top messages in the development of event messaging for both internal and external audiences. In this highly collaborative role, you will develop ideas and build communications in conjunction with event marketing, product marketing, sales, executive communications, PR as we look for new ways to communicate big ideas.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage the event messaging and written communications for NetApp events including requirements, distribution
  • Provide strategic input, POV and recommendations on messaging strategy
  • Identify and manage the communication requirements for NetApp events
  • Understand corporate messaging and event and event objectives to create impactful communications that are relevant with audiences across channels such as, email, presentations, live events, videos, websites and social media
  • Educate extended event teams on the event messaging
  • Review cross functional communication team content to ensure overall consistency in event messaging.
  • Manage challenges as they arise, demonstrating speed and sound judgment
  • Align with Executive Communications team on executive communications
  • Ability to work with multiple cross functional stakeholders to provide core communication deliverables for all internal groups (ie.web copy, email templates etc.) and external audiences
  • Coordinate with multiple vendors including web hosting, internal stakeholders to ensure messaging consistency
  • Liaison with Demand Generation and Marketing Automation to provide messaging and content for customer emails

  • Metrics from website, demand generation and social media from engagement through registration and be able to adapt communications to drive better engagement

Education

  • Masters in English or equivalent
  • Agency experience a plus
  • Internship in English or Communications role

Must have graduated within the past 2 years and must obtained a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing, Business Management or Degree equivalent.
