We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Social Director who can manage a junior team, drive brainstorms, develop innovative programming, and grow our reach and engagement.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- A wizard with copy, this role creates our social calendars, top edits all posts and is quality control for all social content
- Director needs to understand the difference between sparking social copy and empty marketing copy
- Develops/manages workflows and manages all team deadlines
- An expert in social best practices who knows how to drive engagement and site visits
- Partners with branded content, ecommerce and production teams to create and execute social promotion strategy
- Has deep network of creative contractors to develop work economically and at the highest standard
Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years experience in editorial with experience in the social media space
• Past experience managing social channels and team for a publisher
• Deep understanding of how to drive engagement and conversion with all relevant social channels

• An expert on what’s trending socially in our demographic
• Manages and mentors junior team of editors and creatives
• Thinks strategically about driving metrics through engaging content
• Obsessed with post-by-post performance and constantly analyzing what worked and what didn’t
• Very comfortable with native metrics and GA
• Represents social team in cross-functional meetings
• Manages interns/contractors
