About the role

As a Director of Optimization, you will be responsible for developing and owning the optimization of emails through to websites across the diverse portfolio of Inboxlab brands. Key functions of the role will include optimizing the entire advertising funnel across travel and game divisions from email to website landing pages.  In addition, the role will be influential in developing the optimal content strategy to maximize ROI across the company.  The Director level role will be well versed in analytics and focus on the “numbers” to continually improve the ROI of the company brands.  This role reports to the GM of Inboxlab and will work across all divisions of the company including creative, brand management, and ad operations teams. The role requires an individual with solid digital / email advertising industry experience, great communication, extreme attention to detail, and team leadership experience.
 

What you’ll be doing
 

·         Primary focus on optimization of the complete advertising funnel from email through to landing page, across both travel and game divisions of the company.

·         Extreme focus on continual optimization based on ROI across a wide array of web properties

·         Develop optimization solutions to improve the ROI and establish baselines that are repeatable across multiple websites

·         Analyze and interpret data trends and develop improvement solutions; educate Brand / Campaign managers on changes to process and reoccurring issues

·         Proactively develop areas for optimization across the diverse portfolio of Inboxlab brands and always “think outside the box” for areas to constantly improve

·         Review current content across travel and game divisions and recommend new strategies to better engage the Inboxlab audience segments

·         Communicating optimization best practices and foster company-wide adoption of these best practices.

·         Training on optimization processes and procedures including presenting case studies for team members.  Develop training resources and documentation.

 

What you’ll need to bring
 

     Mandatory Skills:

●     Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience

●     Passion for digital advertising; email and web landing page / ad optimization

●     Minimum 7 – 10 years of experience in digital media and/or digital ad operations

●     Extremely analytical ability with a minimum of 5 years of analytics experience including multi-variant testing in a digital advertising environment

●     Ability to collaborate within a team environment, as well as proven ability to lead and motivate teams of 5 – 10 members

●     Assertive, goal-oriented and self-motivated

●     Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-up

●     Working knowledge of advertising products and fulfillment procedures

●     Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook

●     Ability to accurately handle multiple simultaneous activities on tight deadlines

●     Excellent problem-solving troubleshooting skills

●     Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management

●     Experience with project / task management / communication tools like Asana and Slack

●     Desire to learn new technologies, languages, and frameworks

●     Strong analytical capabilities with aptitude for determining the optimal ways to setup, deliver, troubleshoot, and QA campaigns.

●     Desire to exceed expectations and always deliver

●     Ambitious and desire to learn and grow

●     Interest in working across departments, ability to learn on the fly

●     “Whatever it takes to get the job done attitude” is a MUST

●     Strong focus on delivering campaign under tight deadlines in a collaborative environment

●     Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time and help to determine priorities based on time, complexity, and availability

●     Excellent oral and written communications skills, including formal presentations

 

     Optional Skills – Definitely a Plus:

●     Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides

●     Any level of programming experience is a plus

●     Basic experience with UI application design tools such as Invision, Sketch and Photoshop

●     Start-up experience and “whatever it takes” attitude is strongly preferred
