We’re looking for a D​irector of Growth Marketing to propel us into the next phase of our business.​ This is a fast-paced environment and a rapidly growing company. We value hard work and self-starters, and you’ll be learning as you go.
In this role, you will build and implement a marketing framework and work closely with the Sales, CS, and Product teams to drive growth, conversion, and awareness. This includes driving top-of-funnel initiatives, establishing/improving user journeys to increase conversion, leveraging Backbone’s product functionality to drive adoption, engagement, and conversion.

Who You Are:
You are a data-driven marketer who loves discovering growth opportunities and building out new acquisition channels. You are hands-on, scrappy, and thrive in a performance-driven environment. You are both analytical and creative. You are customer-centric and passionate about helping small businesses. You balance a test and learn mindset with a passion for quality. You can set the strategy, execute the work, and analyze the results. You love a startup environment and getting your hands dirty while building out a team and processes to enable hyper-growth.
What You’ll Do:
Reporting to the VP of Revenue, you will be responsible for driving growth across the funnel. You'll lead customer acquisition and partner with marketing, product, and sales to drive leads, close deals, increase retention and grow revenue across existing accounts. You'll set the strategy, optimize our existing channels, test new channels, own the results, and build out a team to rapidly grow our user base. You will build the engine for our customer journey, decide where we invest across paid, organic, partner or other channels, and help customers discover and get value from our product. ​You’re skilled at making data-driven decisions to prioritize and execute on the right marketing initiatives to drive user growth and revenue.
  
 Responsibilities
● Test, learn, optimize, operationalize. Basically, figure out what works to drive growth for Homebase and scale it.
● Work cross-functionally with Sales, CS, and Product to build best-in-class growth marketing programs for Backbone.
● Own our acquisition goals and the path to get there within CAC targets
● Build out a high-performance team of direct reports and agencies
● Have a holistic understanding of the customer journey
● Develop full-funnel growth strategies and campaigns
● Optimize our existing acquisition channels and build out new ones, including paid, organic, SEO, SEM, partners, referrals, social, digital, direct mail, and more
● Optimize conversion and the customer lifecycle, driving the right leads to sales and nurturing customers through their journey
● Be performance-driven, deeply analytical, comfortable deriving insights and making decisions from data
What You’ll Need:
● 10+ years experience in growth marketing or related roles
● Desire to be hands on, get in the weeds, do the work when needed
● Experience managing a high-performance team plus agencies
● Ability to set goals and strategy and coach a team to achieve
● Familiarity with both paid and organic channels and variety of growth tactics
● Experience driving growth across the customer lifecycle
● Experience at hyper growth company, in either SMB or consumer space
● Understanding of best practices in design, copy, and creative for effective campaigns
● Comfort with A/B testing and experiment design
● Team-player. Ability to work well cross-functionally to both learn and execute
● Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and not lose track of the details
● Bachelor's degree
Other Details:
● Located in Downtown Boulder, CO - Will consider remote applicants but local to CO and/or willingness to relocate is a plus
