Director of Digital Brand Experiences
Screen Pilot is looking for a talented and motivated Director of Digital Brand Experiences to lead and grow this area of our agency. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Brand Experience team which includes content, creative, data, business intelligence, and reputation management. A large focus of the role will be driving advocacy of a strategic and cohesive brand image, voice, message and digital experiences for new and existing clients. The ideal candidate is an inspirational creative leader, who fosters a collaborative culture with the agency team. You will need a deep understanding of how brand insights, content, and creative work together to form a strategic vision, and be able to articulate and advise client marketing leaders on the most effective approaches. The position will also be responsible for our own company objectives of the same.
The following job responsibilities can be expected:
Digital Marketing
- Supervise and grow a cross-functional team of creative strategists, writers, content strategists and oversee the day-to-day operations, growth, and agency profitability of this team
Monitor and report on department goals including allocation, utilization, profitability, staffing, and skills competency
Actively consult on brand experience with larger client accounts to provide senior-level skills and strategic perspective
Use data and analytics to continually measure the impact of content and optimize content marketing programs across all channels
Create and maintain scalable processes that support our transformation towards a digital-first, brand-focused agency
Forecast changes in our industry and develop specific business requirements to ensure future competitive advantages that position us as an industry leader
Manage and have a futuristic vision for department staffing needs to ensure appropriate alignment with client needs while managing aggressive growth goals
Work closely with the account team and other department directors to ensure consistency and scalability within our approach for clients of varying levels of budget and size
Work closely with team leads and strategists to drive professional growth, foster team collaboration, and inspire innovation among them and their account teams
Build strong relationships with clients to ensure that their needs are consistently met and are congruent with the company’s mission and vision
Work closely with the business development team to identify, qualify and close projects by being an active contributor in the pitch and proposal process
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and executing the following marketing services and skillsets:
Technology Proficiency – You can support anything from SEO to analytics to email.
Writing and Content Creation – Writing and content creation skills are a major part of your toolkit and you excel at effective communication.
Digital Advertising – We want someone who understands the value of digital advertising and the plethora of platforms that exist. Social Media Advertising experience and prowess is a must.
SEO – Constantly evolving and complex, we need someone who has beyond a working knowledge and understanding of the factors that affect SEO. This position will lead and develop strategies focused on increasing search engine exposure and traffic for the agency and our clients.
Social Media – You will be able to understand how their audience interacts with social media and what opportunities it brings to create awareness and engagement and enhance a brand’s experience in part. This role will be responsible for positioning social media marketing as the premier offering for the agency. Reputation and Community Management experience highly preferred.
Email Marketing/Marketing Automation – You should understand the nature of email marketing and be able to develop a strategy to effectively deliver performance enhancing integrated campaigns.
Screen Pilot Digital Marketing
Define and communicate the company’s brand position and value proposition by overseeing the production and executions of marketing plans to establish Screen Pilot as a leader in our vertical
Collaborate with other business leads to set strategies in order to meet both internal and external goals, integrate and drive best results.
Leadership & Development
Supervise a digital team, including hiring, training, capacity planning, project management and deadline management
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high emotional IQ is a must
Direct and indirect team management (account leadership, line and resource management)
Champion the team’s skills and expertise internally to drive up-sell of the department’s services
Develop people through coaching, mentoring, and active team leadership
Inspire other senior leaders, cultivate cross-functional teams
Act as a mentor and champion of our team members, encourage a high level of strategic thinking and creativity while providing guidance on daily activities
Lead by example as a self-motivated, self-directed learner and marketer
Qualifications
10+ years of digital marketing experience, specifically earned and owned media experience, consumer/brand experience skills a plus
3+ years of successfully managing people and cross functional teams
A degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be seriously considered
Experience using standard/enterprise digital marketing platforms ranging from analytics to digital experience tools a must
