Job Description
TurboTenant is seeking a Director of Digital Marketing to help acquire new leads and customers through online pay-per-click, display and cost-per-acquisition campaigns. You will report to the CMO and be in charge of all paid external, online acquisition marketing, managing the strategy, execution, and optimization across channels. The role requires a confident, self-directed leader who can create and execute on plans, work well cross-functionally, achieve target KPIs, manage a substantial paid marketing budget, and accurately report on, and analyze the effectiveness of, marketing campaigns. As with most startups, this is more than just a management position: you’ll be on the front lines dealing with a myriad of challenges.
Responsibilities
- Manage the strategy and setup of all paid campaigns.
- Measure and optimize our paid marketing using vendor-specific dashboards, Google Analytics, and marketing analytics reports.
- Research and test partnerships with new vendors to expand our reach and/or lower our cost-per-acquisition.
- Collaborate with marketing teammates to maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all paid programs.
- Craft landing pages and lead generation forms for our content to distribute through relevant paid programs.
- Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends and potential new channels and strategies to keep us ahead, including updates to social media marketing, attribution, and programmatic media buying.
- Increase brand awareness, digital lead generation, and digitally-sourced / -enabled revenue leveraging content and creative developed by other marketing team members
- Monitor campaign effectiveness as contacts progress from site visitor, to signups, to customer, to repeat customers / evangelists.
- Create and monitor A/B tests to increase advertising efficiency and reduce customer acquisition cost
REQUIREMENTS

- Ambition, aggressiveness, and a burning passion to change the rental process.
- The ability to work within a weekly sprint schedule (e.g. can meet deadlines and manage daily time to reach specific weekly team goals
Experience and skills needed:
- BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, finance or related field.
- Minimum 5 years digital marketing experience for growth-oriented tech companies
- Experience handling paid marketing budgets in the millions
- In-depth knowledge of all paid marketing channels and technologies, including paid search, retargeting (AdRoll), social network advertising. You must be an expert at Google Ads (formerly AdWords)
- Firm grasp of SEO and digital marketing best practices
- A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions.
- Experience with traditional and digital marketing strategy (e.g., Press Releases, Paid Advertising, Digital Advertising, Affiliate Blogging)
- Experience with email marketing automation services (e.g., MailChimp, Hubspot)
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Wordpress)
- Ability to pass a security background check
