That wouldn’t be surprising, considering there are an estimated 100 million American adults who suffer from some form of chronic pain.
Curable (www.curablehealth.com) is a tech startup on a mission to provide widespread access to safe and effective solutions for chronic pain. Over the past decade, researchers all over the world have shown us that our brains play a major role in the persistence of physical pain, that our brains are highly adaptable, and that our brains can actually learn how to decrease or altogether stop the feeling of pain. Curable makes a software app and other products that bottle up all of this research and deliver it to people with chronic pain. As one of our users puts it, “Curable is like physical therapy for your brain.”
Position Summary:
We are looking for an energetic, mission-driven digital community and support leader to join our team. The Director of Community will act as a vital liaison between Curable and the growing list of people who surround our company. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to:
- Engage Curable’s community of customers, soon-to-be-customers, influencers, scientists and healthcare providers with compelling content, stories, email, blogs, news, social updates and more. You should be able to determine what high-quality content people want, why they want it, how to make it, and how to get it out there. Using audio, video and text to tell Curable’s incredible stories of healing will be an important part of the role.
Attract a growing number of influencers, scientists and healthcare providers to become part of the Curable community, co-develop content together, and lend further credibility to the important work Curable does.
- Support Curable customers by answering their frequently asked questions with professionalism and patience, and developing a system to scale customer support.
Since Curable is still in an early stage of growth, this role offers the opportunity to make a huge impact on our company strategy and product roadmap. The role will continue to evolve as the company grows, potentially offering many different career paths.
The Ideal Candidate Is:
- Patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping others
Full of creative ideas, yet also able to execute beginning-to-end on those ideas
Humble, open-minded, and a problem solver
Comfortable working independently and able to self-manage
Willing to get your hands as dirty as necessary to help the team, move fast and get things done
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in customer support, online communities, social media marketing, customer success, digital content, or other relevant fields
Comfortable picking up new tools and mastering them quickly, such as HTML, Photoshop, video editing software, and email marketing platforms
- Able to communicate with sophisticated parties such as scientists and doctors via phone and email
Organized, with superb attention to detail
- Bonus points for experience with healthcare or consumer tech
