Inboxlab is looking to hire a Director of Ad Ops to join our growing team.

Based in Denver, Colorado, Inboxlab is an incubator that builds companies revolving around email. Founded in 2017 by serial entrepreneur and angel investor, Nicholas Pardon, Inboxlab seeks to create value in new and existing companies by leveraging our core competencies around data, marketing, branding, and most importantly, the inbox.

Inboxlab presently focuses in two primary verticals: travel and gaming. Our mission-based flagship travel brand, The Discoverer, reaches 2,500,000+ subscribers with its weekly editions and the Inbox Games network currently serves 35,000,000+ game plays per month.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Ad Ops is an advertising operations pro with the ability to directly influence and drive revenue through various optimizations. This role will be responsible for developing Inboxlab’s ad platform across multiple brands and driving the implementation of standard and native advertising on our sites and emails. You will lead the business through an accelerated growth phase as we scale. Your decisions must be driven by data and you must collaborate with team members and disseminate information as needed. You must have experience successfully launching new products and come with a wide span of experience across ad ops, trafficking, and yield management.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Create, develop and implement digital advertising sales strategy so that all revenue goals are met or exceeded.

  • Drive the adoption of relevant digital sales technologies, product, tools and data/analytics.

  • Work with the Director of Brand Strategy to manage and refine campaign processes to ensure timely, bug-free launches.

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to enhance internal workflow processes.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all ad operations: internal, vendors, partners, technical, etc.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert and stay educated on changes and innovations in the field of ad ops.

  • Identify and anticipate opportunities and challenges for ad revenue across brands.

  • Provide regular updates on business performance and growth to our executive team.

  • Implement and monitor execution of header bidding across brands.

  • Work closely in teams composed of Brand Managers, UX/UI Designers, Front-end Developers, Back-end Developers and QA Analysts.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING

  • 7+ years of ad ops experience in the digital space

  • 5+ years of software product management experience

  • 3+ years experience managing a team

  • Strong technical background

  • Strong organizational, project management and communication skills

  • Deep understanding of the programmatic, digital advertising ecosystem, media and technology standards

  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders in the ad tech space, including agencies, marketers and platforms

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for data

  • Independent drive with the ability to lead and work cross-functionally

  • Desire to work in a product development process that is primarily agile/scrum

  • Experience with media buying a plus
