Location: Downtown (LoDo Area) Denver, CO

Expanding, full-service digital marketing agency in Denver is on the lookout for a passionate digital strategist specializing in SEO/SEM who is looking for a challenge and to grow in their career.

This position is responsible for planning, optimizing, implementing and analyzing natural search engine marketing activities.  The Earned/Owned Media Strategist will be responsible for the development, implementation, execution and tracking of SEO, Content Marketing, and larger earned/owned media strategies for our hospitality client base in order to maximize ROI and support business strategies. 

Candidates must be excellent communicators and be comfortable communicating with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis. This is a management position. 

A successful candidate will have an innovative, strategic vision and proven success in the execution of said vision, management skills and experience, effective reporting experience, and a drive for departmental collaboration and synergy. 

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Reports to the Director of Content Marketing
  • Effectively manage a team of Content Marketing and SEO Specialists
  • Create and implement documentation/processes/best practices for the SCM Team
  • Develop and strategize on tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other on-page factors to improve SEO rankings for target keywords
  • Track, report, and analyze website analytics to seek new marketing opportunities
  • Conduct/Lead account audits and provides strategic recommendations for improvement
  • Manage ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization, voice search, link building strategies, and other SCM functions
  • Ensure website navigation & coding best practices are properly implemented
  • Manage and teach a strong grasp of SEO best practices, both from a business and technical perspective, including on-site and off-site opportunities to team
  • Reviewing and analyzing Screen Pilot services and offerings for areas of expansion and improvement
  • Assist in sales/on-boarding process of SCM clients under the Director of Partnerships
  • Successfully communicating ad hoc and traditional reporting methods both internally and externally 
  • Actively monitor SEO/Content Marketing trends and always look for new ways to develop both client success and agency growth 

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational, written, presentation, and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to lead initiatives from start to finish
  • A drive to learn, improve, and contribute to the team
  • Experience with SEO tools: Moz, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, etc
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (i.e. WordPress, SiteCore etc)
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus
  • Google Tag Manager knowledge a must
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills with an ability to focus and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with raw data sets to generate reports & insights
  • A strategic thinker who understands best practices for posting, pages and outreach optimization
  • Must have in-depth analytical skills in interpreting web analytics data, formulating conclusions, developing strategies based on analysis and experience with web analytics/technology applications
  • Must have a basic understanding of internet programming languages (not necessarily code a website from the ground up, but how a footer file works, domain hosting, image linking, etc.)

Experience:

  • 3-5 years (Required)
  • 1-3 years of Management Experience (Required)
  • Past-proven experience at successfully managing and implementing SEO initiatives for large scale websites and brands
  • Hospitality & Travel marketing experience a plus
  • Comprehensive knowledge of organic search and how SEO activities influence search engine ranking algorithms
  • Managed SEO deliverables, such as keyword research and mapping, best practice guidelines, content strategies, and technical SEO
  • Demonstrated ability to gather information, prioritize initiatives, and achieve results on time, management skills and prioritization skills
