Digital Marketing Specialist - TrainingPeaks
As Digital Marketing Specialist you will be working closely with the Marketing and cross-functional mission teams, you will help create and manage our social media and advertising campaigns from inception through execution to attract visitors to our website and marketplace so that they engage with our products and services. You will ensure digital media campaigns are effectively and efficiently achieving our strategic business goals. You must be able to confidently handle driving strategy and have experience and expertise in email and in-app marketing platforms, automation, SEO/ASO, and PPC/Social advertising.
You will sit directly with the Marketing Team, work in close collaboration with Customer Success, Sales and Product teams, and report to the VP, Marketing.
Core Functions
Email & In-app
- Manages email marketing campaigns and programs, including campaign setup, volume tracking, and multivariate testing
- Own all customer segmentation and engagement strategies to drive increased traffic, conversion, and customer retention
- Develop and execute demographic and behavioral based cross-channel communications through email and in-app platforms
- Champion continuous improvement of the email development/deployment process including dynamic content, targeting, personalization, and template development
- Monitor and personalize end-to-end customer experiences by assisting with communication across all customer touch points to insure unified, coordinated and successful relationships
- Continually optimize email and in-app message creative, deliverability, data hygiene, privacy, segmentation, and testing strategies
- Researches latest trends and implements best practices across email and in-app platforms
- Assist with tactical implementation of data integrations with ESP and in-app messaging platforms
Social & Paid Advertising
- Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/ASO, PPC, social media and paid advertising campaigns
- Coordinate specific campaign content, and partner content across all of our social media channels (in conjunction with digital marketing specialist, social)
- Help define and maintain our company voice and tone throughout digital channels
- Write and edit effective copy for various marketing campaigns
- Create original content to drive traffic, increase engagement, and deliver a consistent brand message/story via digital channels
- Work with “air traffic control” of social and paid platforms to determine timing of campaigns
Reporting, Tracking & Metrics
- Develop and maintain KPIs and analytics including performance summary, multivariate testing, and conversion campaign tracking
- Continually monitor campaign performance and provide updates to stakeholders
- Provide strategic input on data collection and usage including the identification of data points to leverage and driving efforts for collection and integratio
Requirements
- 2-3 years digital marketing experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Technology or related field
- Proficient with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
- Strong communication, project management, time management, and analytical skills required
- Detail-oriented, very organized, a multi-tasker and able to work well under pressure
- Internal or self-motivation to complete multiple tasks and projects on time
- Strong project management skills including managing digital communication calendar, and creative and data needs with tight deadlines
- Full understanding of popular social media platforms
- Experience executing paid advertising and/or social media campaigns
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Strong history of using enterprise-level email service platforms to manage email lists, conduct audience segmentation, A/B testing, and deploy and track email campaigns;
- Experience using HTML and CSS to develop email templates and landing pages.
- Experience translating Photoshop comps into pixel perfect email code
- Experience building email automations and drip programs.
- Experience with A/B and multivariate testing including test design, list splits, deployment and results
- Experience with push/in-app marketing communication platforms
- Demonstrated experience tracking data, including standard email engagement, metrics, and web analytics tools (Google Analytics)
- Basic knowledge and experience with structured data
- Knowledge of SEO/ASO best practices
- Knowledge of direct marketing best practices, success metrics, CAN-SPAM and GDPR
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using TrainingPeaks as a coach or athlete.
- Passion for endurance sports with a good understanding of how triathletes, cyclists and runners think.
- Experience with Iterable email/in-app platform
- Experience with Google, social media ads
- Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

Compensation
Peaksware/TrainingPeaks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $55,063 - $91,772. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus.
