Digital Events Manager
Overview of the position
As a key member of our dynamic events team you will be responsible for guiding the digital event programs for online virtual events as well as hybrid On-Demand events for our global, enterprise-level customer base. You will lead the selection and implementation of virtual event platforms and develop a standard tech stack to enable our digital event strategies. This role also requires that you manage the live technical support of these important SAFe community experiences.
You’ll utilise your digital event management skills to plan and execute strategic virtual events and On-Demand content to maximize event marketing programs. And design the operations and integrations of a wide range of marketing technology platforms and tools.

What you’ll be doing:
Digital Event Strategy and Design
- Design and develop digital-native online event experiences, and co-develop hybrid online/in-person events as work and travel habits change in the future.
- Devise solutions to convert increased audience engagement in an online event
- Develop a MarCom plan for the pre-event and post-event communication and interaction with the participants and platforms
- Up-level our digital event marketing efforts, collaborating with team members to support new product, account growth, or persona-based initiatives.
- Collaboratively plan the virtual aspect of hybrid in-person/virtual conferences upon the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, including travel to in-person events and on the ground vendor and production coordination
Digital Event Platform Development
- Identify, scale and execute event technology solutions across multiple events for customers, partners and community members.
- Build and maintain a technology stack that includes virtual event platforms, streaming software, and integrations to existing MarTech.
- Advise events team on the best-suited technical solutions and formats available for hosted events online.
Digital Event Execution
- Work cross-functionally to conceptualize, plan, and execute events (virtual, physical and/or hybrid) that are repeatable and globally scalable.
- Oversee virtual event content uploads and integration including text, images, audio, and video
- Conduct pre-event testing and configuration on digital platforms, liaising with Production and Events team leads to support event day including monitoring and managing break out rooms and virtual waiting rooms
- Apply analytics to improve engagement while driving the continual optimization of future events, strategies, and plans
Skills and experience that are important for the role:
- 7+ years of events and digital events, content and marketing experience.
- Desirable to have experience in education, training, technology or services related business.
- The ability to develop compelling digital events strategies, programs and materials
- Experience with virtual event platforms, marketing automation software, analytics platforms, speaker management tools, online event registration tools and CRMs
- Experience communicating directly with customers and partners in a clear and effective manner
- Strong cross-functional work ethos with fluency in sales, partner management and product so as to be an effective partner with the rest of the organization.
