Job Title: Digital Content Marketer
Reports to: Director of Content
Candidates should have experience attracting customers to a brand or website by creating compelling content and storytelling. Daily responsibilities may include:
- Developing a strong understanding of products, competition, industry and marketing goals, and objectives of the brand/industry
- Through a variety of marketing channels, superior knowledge of SEO, and social media, creatively inspiring, attracting, and engaging users with a combination of earned and owned media.
- Write and publish high-quality content, including website landing pages, bylined articles, social media posts, sales enablement materials, ebooks, case studies, ad copy, and more
- Developing voice, tone, and goals for leading social networks
- Consistently creating compelling content that attracts, educates, and engages
- Measuring the effectiveness of campaigns against agreed key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Employing a strategic approach to content. You understand a brand’s goals and can translate that to thoughtful content. Bonus for being able to leverage content in a multitude of ways, across channels.
- Understanding analytics and data and using them to create effective content strategies
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the industry’s best practices, strategies, and offerings including inbound marketing
- With an emphasis on long-tail keyword research, using keyword research to help attract users, and leverage keywords to create topics relevant for content
- Creating thoughtful, educational, human content that solves a business’s core challenges
- Creating, managing, and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns that leverage SEO, social media, inbound marketing, email campaigns, and events to grow customer acquisition
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong understanding of paid media
- Editorial focus
- Ability to interpret data to inform creative
- An understanding of who is creating the best content and storytelling across both B2B and B2C
- Background in journalism or communications
- Adaptability: ability to keep an eye on emerging trends, storytelling styles, emerging platforms, and best practices
