Job Summary
We are looking for a rockstar Content Marketing Manager to join our Denver-based marketing team! As a key member of a small, but growing team, this role offers the opportunity to get in on the ground floor and help shape the future of an exceptional brand. This role’s primary goal will be driving meaningful engagement that leads to revenue value with new and existing Hotel Engine customers. In partnership with the entire marketing team, this individual will help build and shape a world-class, revenue generating marketing engine!
Key Responsibilities
- Set the strategy for a well-rounded Content Marketing function that allows our company to accelerate our growth. Proactively iterate on that strategy as we learn from successes and failures.
- Responsible for all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, and leads that deliver sales and member retention.
- Collaborates across functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives at the lowest possible cost
- Editorial requirements include moderate SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement.
- Owns content program for evergreen channels, including blog, social, and enablement, as well as targeted campaigns.
- Owns the development, optimization, and management of our brand voice in collaboration with our Creative Director.
- Leads editorial governance across the organization to achieve consistency with our brand voice and tone.
- Own the content and editorial calendar in a proactive manner.
- Partner with marketing team members to promote and leverage new tools and features for acquisition and retention campaigns.
- Measurement and optimization of the program will be required on a regular and ongoing basis.
- Management of external creative resources, as needed and in collaboration with Creative Director and VP of Marketing, including designers, writers, and other agency personnel
- Integration of content programs with brand campaigns to drive brand to demand and demand to revenue.
- Create and successfully lead executive presentations on content program approaches and results.
Skills / Experience / Traits
- Degree in marketing, advertising, or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of content marketing strategy, ideally working primarily with B2B content programs
- 5+ years of experience writing and developing content pieces for lead generation, brand awareness, customer retention, and sales enablement
- 2+ years of experience in blog management
- Understands and stays ahead of the curve on best practices for common digital channels; which content and approaches work on each and why
- Exceptional copywriter, able to capture specific brand voice attributes consistently and masterfully
- Understands tenets of good design, can make minor edits to design files in Adobe suite; deep design experience not required
- Proven success with recent and relevant SEO work
- Experience crafting press releases
- Experience leading collaborative creative concepting
- Experience with ecommerce and/or SaaS is helpful
- Agile project management exposure and/or experience a plus
- Understanding of Account-Based Marketing principles and experience with Account-Based advertising a plus
- Experience in a start-up, agency, and/or other high-growth environment
- Demonstrates a healthy balance of pragmatism, optimism, and scrappiness
