Content Marketing Manager
A Content Marketing Manager at Wurk will lead all aspects of our content marketing, social media and advertising strategy. This person will bring creative storytelling through a professional, prescriptive voice to all formats of content. Producing, implementing and measuring the effectiveness of blogs, webinars, email communications, social posts, case studies, advertisements and more that appeal to a unique audience in a nascent industry will be the core responsibility of this role. The right candidate will also contribute to event management and a variety of marketing-related tasks as requested.

What you’ll need to accomplish!
- Within your first 30 days, you will get to know the target market, comprehend the brand personas, and understand our product offerings and value proposition. You’ll work closely with the Director of Marketing to develop a content strategy based on existing metrics and industry trends.
- Within 60 days, you will be drafting, reviewing, editing, posting and measuring content across a variety of platforms. You will report success rate and make suggestions to improve strategy.
- Within 90 days, you will operate as a fully functional Content Manager that produces materials regularly and in accordance with the content calendar. You will operate independently but can effectively collaborate with the sales, marketing and product teams to further develop a strategy that helps meet company goals for growth.
- Develop and maintain content strategy and execution across platforms (website, email, social media, trade show, etc.)
- Source, craft, edit and publish content for Wurk platforms.
- Ensure tone, messaging and visual applications are consistent with brand strategy.
- Work closely with Wurk’s press agency to develop media placements and press releases.
- Engage members of various departments to produce thought leadership. Identify needs, communicate expectations, develop timelines and encourage future participation.
- Analyze competitors to differentiate our offerings and understand the market.
- Review, analyze and manage digital and print advertising opportunities within and outside of the cannabis industry.
- Create materials for the sales team to use in prospecting, including feature sheets, case studies, and more.
- Measure and report on content effectiveness on a weekly basis. Make recommendations for improvement.
- Help manage relationships with vendors and partners including media, advertising, graphic design, and SEO.
- Secure presentations for CEO at major industry and non-industry events by submitting topics, prepping speeches, supplying supportive presentation materials, promoting on social media, and summarizing the event in blog posts and more.
- Assist Director of Marketing in creating materials for events, booking travel, shipping supplies, and promoting attendance.
- Participates as needed in special department projects.
What you’ll need to have!
- 2+ years working as a content coordinator, communications manager or similar
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of Wordpress, Hubspot, social media platforms and Google Analytics
- Exceptional written and oral communication abilities, as well as critical thinking
- Sensitivity to and appreciation of cultural, political, and geographical differences
- Analytical, Proactive, and Precise mindset
- Tons of enthusiasm, compassion, and humor
- Background working in a startup, the Cannabis Industry, or a SaaS environment is a plus
