As Product Counsel at Zoom, our team helps to build the solutions that bring teams together to get more done in a frictionless and secure video environment.Our easy, reliable, and innovative video-first unified communications platform provides video meetings, voice, webinars, and chat across desktops, phones, mobile devices, and conference room systems. As trusted counsel and partner in the business, we support products and initiatives that fulfill Zoom's mission of developing a people-centric cloud service that unifies our customers' meeting experience and improves the quality and effectiveness of communications. While headquarted in San Jose, California, Zoom's Legal Department is geographically dispersed, and this position can be remote.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Counsel to join our innovative and rapidly growing Product Legal team. Reporting to Associate General Counsel, Product you will partner with product teams to understand product, engineering, design, and operational implications of new products and initiatives. You will advise multiple stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, and business development throughout the product development cycle on new products and the implementation of technological solutions. You will review, draft and negotiate all types of agreements–including inbound, outbound, infrastructure, and partnership agreements. You will also design, build, and improve legal department processes to keep up with hyper growth.

About You

• You have 12 plus years relative experience; JD from top law school.
• You have experience working as an attorney in-house at a technology company; SaaS company strongly preferred.
• You have passion for Zoom and a deep appreciation of Zoom's mission and impact.
• You have strong collaboration skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams, build consensus among stakeholders and build strong relations at all levels and across the organization
• Strong preference if you have experience with chat or security related products or features.
• You are passionate about working in a mutually-supportive team environment with an attitude to deliver happiness
• You are extremely organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, adjust to rapidly changing priorities, and drive strategic projects to successful delivery.
• You have a sense of humor, excellent interpersonal skills, business judgment, strategic thinking, superior work ethic, flexibility and ability to work independently.
• You have a growth mindset: every new challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow.
