Legal Counsel
About the Team
VIZIO's legal team is seeking an experienced and motivated licensed attorney with experience in commercial transactions related to digital advertising, data, and media transactions to join our growing Legal Platform+ team. As Legal Counsel, you will be reporting to VIZIO's Senior Counsel and working closely with other attorneys supporting VIZIO's Platform+ business. You will embark on a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team within a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
- The successful candidate will negotiate commercial transaction agreements, including data licensing agreements, professional service agreements, reseller agreements, insertion orders, and content licensing agreements.
- You will evaluate issues from legal and business perspectives with a practical, business-oriented approach to problem-solving and handle complex business and legal issues in a fast-paced, agile, and evolving technology-driven business environment.
- Furthermore, you will support strategic initiatives, including cutting-edge technology and regulatory support. There is potential for expansion of duties and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the continued growth of the legal department as the department ramps up to meet the demands for VIZIO's rapidly expanding business.

- Like all attorneys at all levels at VIZIO, this individual must be willing to pitch in wherever necessary to assist the legal team in meeting the company's goals.
- The attorney will work closely with the in-house legal team members, outside Counsel, and multiple client groups/functional departments at all company levels.
About You

- 5-7+ years of transactional experience as an attorney either in-house, at a law firm, or a combination of both.
- Possess a Juris Doctorate from a U.S. accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the State of California or qualify to register as California in-house counsel.
- Experience with data licensing, digital advertising, and content licensing preferred. Specifically experience or exposure to programmatic advertising, insertion orders, DSP and SSP agreements, data licensing, and AVOD/SVOD/TVOD licensing deals.
- Able to handle multiple matters simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Solid background and experience with negotiating, drafting, and advising on a variety of agreements.
- Sense of humor and strong interpersonal skills, including maturity, creativity, and a high energy level.
- Team-oriented and able to interact effectively and influence peers and all levels of management.
- Ability to work well in a very fast-paced and dynamic environment, as well as in a small team environment, and become a productive and positive member of the legal department.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

For Colorado-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $135,000/year. The compensation package includes the annual bonus in addition to a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
