Better requires process, discipline, and simplification

We will be looking to you to, provide legal advice on executive compensation, global LTIP program, corporate bonus, and variable compensation plans, employee benefit plans and policies, retirement plans, and ERISA, together with providing legal advice and support for U.S. and global employment matters.  You will provide legal advice to the company, and support to the Employment Law Group colleagues in connection with U.S. employment law matters. You’ll provide legal advice and risk management support to business partners, HR, and the Ethics Office on cross-functional and global matters including reductions in force, M&A matters, and workplace investigations. You will partner and advise Human Resources on related labor and employment law matters for the U.S. and globally.

 

For such a pivotal role, you will have 8 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department with expertise in executive compensation, benefits law, and global employment law.  You will hold a Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited school of law, admitted to at least one U.S. state bar if practicing within the U.S. or country equivalent qualifications for that country.  You will have knowledge of tax securities laws, accounting, and stock exchange listing standards applicable to executive and director compensation, along with tax and employment laws applicable to compensation and employee benefits. You’ll have experience advising on U.S. employment and labor law matters.  Previous experience with agile working methodologies is also desirable.

Annual base salary gross:  $136.795 - $227,992. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Union’s total compensation package for employees.
