We're seeking a dynamic Corporate Counsel who is highly-organized and has experience working with both executives and front-line employees. Reporting to the Company’s General Counsel, the Corporate Counsel will be responsible for managing a broad range of the day-to-day activities of the Company’s legal department. This will include identifying and analyzing legal issues, drafting key documents, presenting clear recommendations to management, and assuring legal compliance. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience, will be able to handle a wide range of legal questions with practical solutions, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Advising management, and internal business clients on wide range of legal topics
  • Preparing, reviewing and negotiating company contracts and other legal documents
  • Researching and anticipating unique legal issues that could impact the company
  • Providing training to the company on legal topics
  • Management of central tracking system for all contracts, including expiration dates, renewals, and other significant rights and obligations


What you bring to the table:

  • JD from accredited law school, admitted to the CO bar
  • Minimum 2 years’ related experience working in a corporate in-house or law firm setting, reviewing and drafting a variety of commercial contracts
  • Experience with purchase and sale of software, specifically with a SaaS model
  • Experience drafting, negotiating, and interpreting complex transactions
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional service to business clients
  • Demonstrated judgment and ability to analyze problems, propose resolutions, and provide advice that is creative, practical and reflects strong legal acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to work under high pressure conditions and to successfully handle urgent situations with patience and diplomacy
  • A resourceful self-starter, results and success-oriented, with the ability to ensure timely follow through by company employees

What makes you successful in this role:

  • Software Expertise – Proven expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite; review/comparison software, such as Workshare, preferred
  • Project Management – Complete understanding of management principles necessary to set goals, staff, direct, plan, coordinate, evaluate and report; strong organizational and time management skills
  • Problem Solving – ability to work independently and as part of a team; must be able to solve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information, and work well in collaborative group situations
  • Communication Skills – Detail oriented; clear and concise oral and written English language communication skills required, including proper grammar and e-mail etiquette, capable of distilling complex information into concise summaries supporting thoughtful, well-reasoned recommendations
  • Presentation Skills – Able to demonstrate a clear ability to create presentations that succinctly demonstrate the essence of the material being presented.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
  • Adaptability - Adapt to changes and pressures in the work environment; manage competing demands, and changes in approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent change, high pressure conditions, and effectively and professionally handle stressful situations, delays, or unexpected events; appreciates opportunity to adjust and adapt with growing business; ability to quickly learn new areas of the law and the business
