Convercent is seeking a Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer (CECO) and Converge Community Chairperson that will have the dual responsibility of performing CECO duties as well as leading Convercent’s Converge community and events. Reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors, the CECO & Converge Community Chair works collaboratively across the business to set the tone and direction for Convercent’s global ethics and compliance program and to elevate Converge as the premier digital and live community within the industry. The successful CECO & Converge Community Chair demonstrates leadership, versatility, integrity, entrepreneurship and commitment to Convercent’s mission, values and code of conduct. The CECO & Converge Chair will additionally elevate every aspect of Convercent and create the definitive source of reference for Ethics and Compliance professionals looking to drive ethics to the center of their business.

CECO Responsibilities 

  • Overall responsibility for the strategy, day-to-day oversight and operations of Convercent’s global ethics and compliance program.
  • Create a strong internal ethics and speak up culture by developing and implementing engaging communication strategies, innovative tools, trainings and relatable content for today’s modern workforce.
  • Review and manage reports that come into Convercent’s internal helpline including initial report triage, investigation of any ethics-related issues, and escalating issues to Convercent’s management team or Board of Directors, as appropriate.
  • Oversee and administer Convercent’s internal conflicts of interest program.
  • Serve as the compliance advisor to the CFO and business unit leaders by monitoring applicable rules and regulations and informing the team of needed modifications to existing practices to meet compliance obligations.
  • Implement and oversee a formal enterprise risk management framework, keeping senior leadership and the Board of Directors informed and updated.
  • Update the Audit and Ethics Committee of Convercent’s Board of Directors on a quarterly basis, including preparing standard meeting materials.
  • Serve as the resident expert and thought leader on ethics and compliance matters; proactively monitoring and sharing industry news, trends and changing regulations; and providing strategic direction and best practices to internal teams and customers, as required.
  • Facilitate training and updating internal teams on changes in the global E&C market.
  • Provide thought leadership and practical input during sales engagements and customer onboardings.

Converge Community Chair Responsibilities 

  • Create and own the Converge global strategy and experience.
  • Define and implement an integrated strategy across Converge assets (events, content and community) that leverages industry expertise, thought leaders, Convercent solutions and resources, and customers to enable the content and conversations that support the Converge mission.
  • Manage internal events team and project plans with keen attention to budget and logistical execution for Converge-related events.
  • Collaborate with Product, Revenue and Customer Success leaders to define outcomes and KPIs related to revenue generation (pipeline and conversion), customer value proposition (NPS, adoption), Converge engagement (active and passive measures), and overall brand.
  • Seek out subject matter experts, luminaries and change-agents to leverage their understanding of industry trends and regulatory changes to create topical, credible themes and content for a global audience.
  • Set a clear example in the industry of driving ethics to the center of business.
  • Create content that defines and pushes the market forward and engenders a global community that defines excellence in the E&C industry.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in an E&C leadership role.
  • Global E&C experience with a strong understanding of U.S. and international trends and regulations.
  • A recognized leader in E&C with a career defined by thought leadership and the hands-on creation of enterprise-wide programs.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability and desire to also manage the day-to-day tactics.
  • An entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing new, innovative ideas that will stretch the organization and make it perform better.
  • Naturally connects and builds strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
  • Direct experience with event planning and coordination.
  • Dynamic leadership style that inspires, influences and engages others through demonstrated organization, facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Places a high value on ethical standards and treating others with dignity and respect.
