We are looking for a Lead User Experience Designer based in Denver, CO who is passionate about building tools that delight and engage users. Our ideal candidate has extensive experience leading user experience and interaction design efforts for consumer web and mobile applications. If you understand the importance of being intimately in touch with the needs of an audience and have proven results solving those needs by defining intuitive experiences, we’re curious. WHAT WOULD I BE DOING?

  • Work with our product team to help define the strategy and vision for the myStrength web and mobile product suite.
  • Be the champion for our users and customers - establish solid UX research practices to continually gain new insights to help drive design decisions.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, development, account service, sales teams
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to make sure business needs are understood and being met when considering design.
  • Help establish an agile design process that works to validate design decisions early and often.
  • Help define and iteratively test the user experience by developing sketches, wireframes, and clickable prototypes.
  • Collaborate with the UI design and development teams to see the user experience flows through to execution.
  • Analyze existing user data to understand how the current experiences are working and identify areas for improvement
  • Create simple, elegant and compelling experiences that solve complex problems.
  • Contribute to creative brainstorming and solutions engineering.

WHAT EXPERIENCE & SKILLS DO I NEED?

  • 5+ years progressive experience developing user experience and interaction design in a collaborative business environment
  • Must have led UX in a multitude of past roles and have deep experience driving the UX process with key stakeholders
  • Must provide a portfolio with working & current examples of UX work for web and mobile consumer applications
  • Mastery of tools like sketch, balsamiq, marvel, invision, etc. to build wireframes and clickable prototypes.
  • Technically savvy, seeking out and understanding new/trending design patterns for different platforms
  • Experience working with and presenting to 
  • Ability to convey key information to technical and non-technical people at all levels
  • Ability to think independently and clearly articulate ideas
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and think strategically and holistically in an ever-evolving environment
  • Proven track record of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexible, creative & fun—self-starter with ability to roll with changes in a fast-paced, emerging growth environment and keep a positive attitude

BONUS:

  • Experience in start-up/emerging growth organizations
  • Experience with B2B and B2C organizations
  • Experience with digital health or behavior change applications
