Spacecraft Systems Engineering Intern
DigitalGlobe is offering an Engineering Intern position within the Spacecraft Systems and Remote Sensing Sciences engineering teams. The Spacecraft Systems team is responsible for specifying the requirements for and overseeing the acquisition and development of DigitalGlobe’s next generation earth imaging systems. The Remote Sensing Sciences team is responsible for optical and radiometric calibration of on-orbit sensors.
Candidate will work with engineering staff in support conops development for spacecraft commissioning and orbital phasing, support development of interface of verification documentation and support with attitude determination and control tool development.
- Student currently enrolled in a university Engineering or Applied Math program.
- US Citizenship required.
- Desired Skills: strong math background, knowledge of closed form and numerical estimation methods, knowledge of orbital mechanics, familiarity with engineering budgeting methods (e.g. delta-V, pointing, power budgets).
- Experience with UNIX/LINUX operating Systems,.
- Knowledge of MATLAB, STK, SIMULINK
