Our new internship program is designed to introduce students to the Stateless community to work with smart people and learn about the inner workings of an innovative organization. In this 9 to 12-week program, students will grow their skills, apply their knowledge, and participate in exciting projects that relate back to our core functions.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP 

As an intern in Stateless’s software engineering department, you will be assigned to one of the following teams: 

• Network Performance team - Builds network functions and the supporting network platform for the Luxon system architecture utilizing C++, Intel DPDK or other high performance networking systems such as XDP, eBPF, VPP and able to flex into other languages as needed.
• Orchestration team - Implements and refines the applications that form the orchestration layer used to control our networking platform and its integration with higher-level monitoring and control systems. The team uses Kotlin but welcomes experience in other JVM language (e.g. Java, Scala, or C#), and they work with technologies, such as Mesos and Marathon, Docker and Kafka.
• Front End team - Designs and builds the powerful UI that enables our clients to make network changes in minutes. Their go-to tools are Typescript and Stencil.

You will join their Scrum ceremonies and assist them with a variety of product and project-related tasks. You will get exposure to our bleeding-edge solution and valuable career experience with programming, networking, and Linux.

The program will start based on your availability in May for up to 12 weeks. This will be an hourly position and pays $20 to $25 per hour based on your skill level for up to 40 hours a week. Time off is flexible and can be arranged with your manager.

There may be up to three internships available.

The hiring timelines for this internship is as follows:

• Applications will be accepted until February 10th.
• You will be contacted no later than February 21st regarding the next phase.
• Hiring decisions will be made based on your code challenge and possible interview by March 20th.

ABOUT YOU 

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Computer Science program, coding bootcamp or self-studying as part of a career change.
• Basic programming experience in any commonly used language.
• Comfortable with Linux operating system.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a cross-functional team.
