Sales Intern at Zayo

The Zayo internship program is open to graduating seniors and current students. All internships are paid, full-time work experiences. All internships are from June 3* - August 9, 2019 (*start date flexible to academic obligations).
The Sales Intern will support the Carrier Sales steam and commit to ongoing sales training and development of best sales practices through reporting in Salesforce, directing customer requests, and general staff support. The intern will attend sales department meetings and customer events as assigned and will have active supervision and guidance from managers and executives. They will learn and implement ways to develop and grow new and existing customer relationships as well as experience what it's like to work in a collaborative team atmosphere.
Shadow/observe top-performing account managers
Provide exceptional customer service and professionalism
Attend weekly sales meetings with sales staff
Present company products and services to customers and help direct customer inquiries
Assist in reaching sales goals
Studying/degree in Business or Marketing
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and support multiple high level positions
Must have high level of interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills
Strong teamwork aptitude required with the ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks
Strong customer service skills required.
Learn how to properly communicate and present product and service information to potential customers
Develop an understanding of managing a sales funnel
Gain industry experience, an education in telecom, and understanding of Zayo’s foundational role in broadband
Strengthen critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills
Gain an expertise understanding of Salesforce
Exposure to a variety of networking opportunities

Internships are full-time (40 hours/week), paid positions with the option of converting into full-time/part-time employment pending a successful internship.
