The Program Analytics Intern will work with Program Management, Engineering, and Leadership to provide data assets and drive insights into the performance of the development organization. In addition to the primary project, the intern will participate in secondary projects that will vary in length from days to weeks depending on their goals and complexity.  Expected work includes supporting and shadowing the Program Management Analyst, new dashboard creation, and process documentation.

Primary Project: Analytic Abstracts and Process Documentation

Description: document the use of Alteryx in Program Management. Alteryx uses a series of data engineering processes to translate data into usable forms, ultimately as visualizations on an internal website. This intern will work with the Program Management Analyst to trace the lineage of these dashboards, dissect the underlying logic, and describe relevant terms succinctly to end users.

Expected Skills Learned: technical writing, Agile practices, Alteryx Designer and Server administration.

Deliverables: a data dictionary of all process terms used by Program Management. A summary of each dashboard on DevMetrics (our internal metrics site for Alteryx development team). Process documentation for the deployment of Alteryx, Node.JS, and Tableau Servers that run the DevMetrics Site. An accompanying PowerPoint presentation and Dev talk to the organization.

Expectations: the intern is expected to learn the Alteryx platform in depth.
